Qingming Festival, a day for tomb sweeping, Leng Mochen accompanied Li Si to the North City Cemetery. The weather was beautiful today, with bright sunshine and a gentle breeze, as if softly whispering.
"Dad, this is Brother Leng. I encountered some bad people, and he saved me!" Li Si spoke to the photograph of her father, smiling faintly from the gravestone, recounting what had happened recently.
Leng Mochen stood silently to the side, listening to her account. In his heart, he said, "Uncle, please rest assured. Li Si is doing well now, and she'll only get better! I will take good care of this girl!"
On the way back from the cemetery, Li Si didn't have much of an appetite. Leng Mochen took her to a porridge shop where they had some simple congee.
As they entered the villa complex and were nearing home, Leng Mochen suddenly slammed on the brakes, stopping by the roadside.
