The poison-mixing man's connection with the hegins began, as most people's did, because of Athira, and ultimately remained with them because of the man who has been by his side to this day. Ajtony must have been seventeen years old when the Godwhip passed through the area where he lived with his family. Or rather, where his family lived and he was exiled at.
Young Ajtony was never understood by his family. The boy had been collecting all kinds of dangerous and poisonous plants and animals since he was a child, which almost brought a heart attack to his parents more than once. However, he didn't care what those around him thought of him. He was always a determined child, he knew what he wanted, to make a poison that could not be detected and that could cause death even in the smallest dose.
Of course, this was not the goal at first, but as young Ajtony became immune to more and more types of poison, the driving force for his new discovery grew stronger. He thought that everything in the world was for discovery and for making miracles out of discoveries. After all, poison could not only be deadly, young Ajtony soon learned that the same substance could heal and kill if one knew how to use it.
The boy's mother was a shaman who helped women give birth with all kinds of ointments, so Ajtony had the chance to learn the science of ointment making, which he later developed himself. By the time he was fifteen, he had already made his own new mixtures and poisoned more than one person in their village, which resulted in everyone trying to avoid him. And this only grew stronger as the years passed, no one wanted to die near the Szotvard boy by chance.
In such a situation, the family and his village found themselves in the path of Athira's armies. The Grand Leader naturally invited all the men and women of the right age to join him in his new homeland, so the inhabitants of the village that had been living in one place until then set off into the unknown. Unlike most, Ajtony was very enthusiastic about seeing the world and getting to know new plants. He wasn't very interested in the war or in Athira, especially not after he first brought it up to the team he was assigned to that he could kill with poison, only to be told off for being stupid.
So the Sotvard boy turned to himself again and didn't bother with the stupid people who understood nothing about the beautiful world of poisons and the art of murder, as he began to call it in his mind. By then, he already believed that death had a certain beauty and that the perfect murder was the one that had no trace, that could not be perceived and whose time you yourself could influence.
That was why the teenage Szotvard Ajtony started paying attention to the murders in his surroundings, and that's how he came across Athira's crazy táltos and the one-eyed táltos, and next to them the Teike twins. Of the pair, Ajtony's attention was drawn to the younger Teike boy. At first, he didn't know who he was dealing with or why he noticed the boy, but suddenly he found himself always watching what he was doing with one eye.
Luckily, the Koál blue dress was not difficult to recognize, so he always knew who to look for. Then came the day, he was almost twenty, when one evening, while gathering herbs, he saw a very familiar man coming out of a yurt. Out of curiosity, he ran into that particular yurt and found himself facing one of the best murders of his life.
It was then that he decided that he would get close to the Koál boy who had committed these masterpieces. It can be said that their meeting was quite problematic and Ajtony was a little sorry that the boy named Kamu did not try to off him, so he did not have a chance to try out his latest poison. However, in the end, he gained much more from the situation than he lost.
For the first time in Ajtony's life, someone did not think he was stupid because of his passion for poisons. When Kamu first asked him to explain to him how the killer poison worked, Ajtony suddenly did not know what to do with the hegin and only came to his senses when Kamu almost killed himself with the dagger that had the poison on it.
The two boys quickly found common ground. Kamu taught Ajtony to hide from the world, and Ajtony finally had the opportunity to try out his poisons. At first, their friendship was nothing more than that, until Kamu suggested that they make money from what they do best. This became the basis for the Immortal Mist.
For the first time in his life, Ajtony felt that he belonged somewhere. As the Mist grew and more members came around, the boy found a new family around them. However, unlike Kamu, he also met and built relationships outside of the Mist. He started his own family and although he loved his family, the Mist still came first in everything. As he always said, "They are my family, you are just my blood."
Then, when the Teike brothers died, Ajtony left the hegins, claiming to become a hermit, although at the request of his best friend took over the leadership of the Mist. Of course, he was not very happy with the responsibility that came with the title Vietryk, but there was nothing to be done, the Mist could not disband. So he led the team for half a year in memory of his friend, until Kamu appeared, literally returning from the grave.
The Szotvard man had never once thought about seeking immortality. However, when he learned that his friend could return to the living, he began to think. He knew that he was not yet able to make a potion that would make him live forever, but how could he let the possibilities of the future be lost, because of such a stupid thing as death.
Then one day the realization hit him like a bolt of lightning. The answer was right there in front of him. Everyone in the Mist knew everyone's abilities, as much as possible, if they didn't know how to use them all, but they knew what they were. That was how more people could mix poison like him or swing a sword like Kamu. That's why Ajtony knew what summoning and possession were.
Kamu told him the basics, and he developed it further like an inventor. The Ishán of the Mist died and returned three times during Ajtony's lifetime. And when the time passed over the Szotvard man, he simply passed on the title Vietryk and stood before Kamu.
"I want you to kill me!" He announced with a faint smile on his lips.
"Ajtony." Kamu sighed as he stood facing his best friend with his arm at his side. "What have you invented, you crazy poison mixer?" He asked with a faint smile on his lips.
"Let me stay by your side. There are still so many poisons in the world that I can experiment with. And who would put you back in order if not me?" The by then old man chuckled.
"And why do I have to kill you for that?" Came the suspicious question from Kamu.
"I want to possess your sword." The man announced, whereupon Kamu laughed with tears in his eyes.
"Be it." That was all he said, not even letting Ajtony change his mind before stabbing the man, who died within a minute thanks to his own poison and stood as a ghost, before Kamu, the Ishán of the Immortal Mist, who had looked him in the eyes with a sad smile on his lips. "I don't want to kill a friend anymore." Kamu sighed.
"I hope I'm the last. So how do we do this?" Ajtony stepped in front of his friend, who laid his corpse on the ground, then held the sword towards the ghost.
"Put your hand on it and concentrate on wanting to stay here, I'll draw the summoning circle. Would you like to receive the gift of men first?" Kamu tilted his head to the side.
"Draw your summoning circle, buddy, and I'll get it." Ajtony grinned, and that was enough for Kamu to act.
The summoning circle was a simple sign, a simple alliance sign between Ajtony and Kamu, which was attached to the sword, so Ajtony was able to become a sword ghost. With that, they officially became the Ishán of the Immortal Mist, the invincible duo, the living dead, from whom the enemy could never get rid of. While Kamu always returned in a new body, Ajtony, in those days when his friend was a ghost, waited for him to return at the center of the Immortal Mist and, as he had always wanted, developed the perfect poison.
And now, after a long time, he would see the world again by his friend's side. And he would not have missed such an opportunity, no matter the cost. No matter how much he loved the Immortal Mist and their family. The team is no longer the same as it was centuries ago. Almost no one except Kamu understands his thinking, but that's what made them special, the Ishán stood outside of time.
At least until now, because Ajtony felt that something was completely different now than ever before. Kamu was much stronger than ever and he himself also took on a ghost form much more easily. Something had changed, and the Szotvard inventer would not have been himself if he hadn't taken advantage of the opportunity to gain new knowledge. Whatever that new knowledge was, he thought it would be interesting to travel with the hegins again anyway, but sometimes he missed his roots. And now his successor is here, death suddenly became much more exciting than it had been in the past hundred years.
