Chapter 111 - 111. Pills

The teacher, who appeared from nowhere from one moment to the next, froze, the smile on his face dissapeared in an instant as he looked at the group sitting in the first row of desks, and finally his gaze stopped on the student leaning on the desk. He slowly raised his hand and pointed to the door.

"Get out of my class!" He said in a completely colorless voice.

"But, Uncle Tete..." Teveli blinked in surprise.

"Uncle?" They whispered in the back rows. "So they are relatives?" Came from somewhere else.

"I said get out! I can't teach you anything. Go and spend your time doing something useful. The lab is two rooms down, it might even interest you." The teacher nodded towards the door.

"Let's go." Rahul stood up suddenly, and the entire group of Athamanas stood up and walked towards the door in close succession.

"Okay kids! Now I'm going to teach you how to recognize a summoning circle so you don't have to get a new wardrobe every time you come to my class." The team heard Tele Tete's voice before they closed the door behind them.

"And now?" Benkó asked.

"We'll do what Uncle Tete said. We'll check out that lab." Teveli shrugged and since the rest of the team agreed with him, the Athamanas went to the lab room where the teacher was about to start the class.

"Good morning, gentlemen. I think you've got the wrong room. The Summoning class is two rooms away." The teacher nudged in the right direction.

"Good morning, teacher. Yes, we know, but Mr. Tele, said he couldn't teach us anything and sent us to you." Razvan explained, when Suk simply stepped past him and hurried to the teacher's table, where he began to look at the unpacked small bottles, holding his chin.

"Hey, young man!" The teacher's eyes widened, when Suk raised his head and grimaced, pointing to a white bottle.

"I don't want to argue, but bone powder is more effective than lime." He announced.

"By the ancestors, Suk, you are the only ones who make wound-sealing cream with bone powder." Achilleus folded his arms in front of him.

"But ours is the best too." The aforementioned one put his hands on his hips.

"How did..." The teacher began and looked at the group. "How do you know it's for wound-sealing?" The question came, and the Athamanas spoke up at once.

"Dew grass and mulberry seals all wounds." The teacher only blinked a few times in response, then smiled faintly.

"Gentlemen, take your seats." He gestured towards the vacant desks, where the Athamanas had already sat down.

It must be said that they were in for a very interesting lesson, which they immediately realized when the teacher began to explain how to use the small furnaces and pots placed on the tables in which the medicines were prepared. The ingredients for the medicine had to be placed in the pot, and then with the help of their kí they had to revive the flame in the furnace so that the medicine would be prepared. To the great surprise of the hegins, however, the result was not some cream they were used to, but a small green ball.

"What is this?" Suk grimaced at the green pill in his hand.

"A pill. Medicine pill." Rahul said indifferently. "It only works if you swallow it. As the teacher said, the purer the ingredients, the better the medicine and the more expensive it is. You can even buy a castle on a particularly strong snow-white pill." The boy shrugged.

"Wait. I can't imagine that." Suk blinked, then turned to Achillesu. "Hey, Motumisz! You wanted to stab me with your sword last time." The aforementioned person just nodded at the statement.

"And how is this come up right now?" He asked, and Suk held his palm towards him.

"Here, please!" He said with an unwavering face.

"You know, this isn't that exciting this way, but if you really want to." Achilleus shrugged, then pulled out his sword, which made everyone in the room look at them. The teacher immediately rushed towards them, but before he could stop him, Achilleus had already cut Suk's hand, who didn't even hiss.

"Thank you." He noted as he threw the pill into his mouth and swallowed it.

"You Suk, haven't you thought about how it might not work on you, with all the poison in you?" Benkó put his elbow on Suk's shoulder, who was staring at the his palm along with the Athamanas.

"I still have some ointment if it doesn't work." Suk said indifferently, when the wound on his palm slowly began to heal. "The turul bird whistling on the copper tree!" He shouted and grinned. "This works. Um... why is everyone staring at us now?" He suddenly pointed to the class that was staring at them with their mouths open.

"You know, Suk, I don't think anyone is used to your pain threshold." Rahul shrugged.

"How much poison do you have in your system, young man?" The teacher approached the table with a gloomy look.

"None today. It's good that you say it, I'll end up like my cousin." The Zovárd boy shivered and reached into the inside pocket of his coat. "No, no, not this either, ah this will be it." His eyes sparkled as he pulled out a small vial containing a greenish-yellow liquid. He pulled the stopper out and was about to drink it when the teacher caught his wrist.

"This is golden viper venom. You could die from this." The teacher looked at Suk angrily, but the boy just took the vial in his free hand and drank its contents with the same movement. "What are you doing?!"

"Don't worry, teacher. He'll be fine. I've never seen a poison he's not immune to." Razvan shrugged, before the teacher let go of Suk's hand.

"I wonder if you can do that with this stuff?" Suk grabbed his chin, but managed to surprise everyone with his question.

"Are you really okay?" The teacher leaned closer to him.

"Why would I be? I've been drinking some kind of poison every day since I was four. In this dose since I was ten. And anyway, it wasn't fresh anymore, it's not that potent. I'm usually a little drunk for a few minutes after one of these, but I'm fine now." The boy waved, still looking at the pot.

"Suk, what do you want to try?" Teveli asked.

"Our secret concoction." The boy grinned.

"The Zovárd miracle potion?!" Benkó's eyes widened and he even opened his mouth.

"That. I mean, if the teacher allows it." Suk looked up suddenly.

"There will be no experimentation here. Making medicine is a very precise job, everything has to be as described." The man announced.

"Yes, sir." Suk nodded.

"The class is over." The teacher dismissed the students.

"I need to get one of these pots." Suk grinned as they left the room.

"Let's find Uncle Tete first, if you're lucky he can get you another one of those pill makers." Teveli chuckled.

"As Tev says. Now, first of all, we need to talk to Tele Tete. Let's go back to the Summoning Room, see if he's still there." Razvan spoke up and headed off to find Tele Tete.
