Chapter 100 - 100. On the run

After the huge flash of light in the middle of the battlefield in the ötandi army, the soldiers who had stopped their retreat could only see the new recruit slowly crawling up from the ground. Sand was everywhere, it was as if even the sun had faded. A shadow resembling a black human figure appeared next to the young warrior and grasped the boy's shoulder. Even the attacking monster mammias stopped and bobbed their heads back and forth like curious children.

"Just repeat it." Whispered a male voice strangely vibrating with the wind. Although they couldn't know where the voice came from, anyone who heard it thought it could be the voice of the black figure. Even if they had never seen such a creature in their lives, not even the most experienced soldiers of the ötandis, who had seen the king himself fight. This black figure, with this otherworldly voice, froze the blood in everyone's veins.

However, the young warrior began to move slowly as a result of his words. He raised his left hand in front of him, the right behind him, then pushed his right leg forward, only to push the left back, took a deep breath, then pulled his back hand forward, dropped to one knee and hit the ground with his right palm. His palm thumped dully in the sand, which, like the voice of the black figure, was surprisingly heard by everyone.

The ötandi soldiers watched the phenomenon taking place in front of them with bated breath, and when the sand rose from the ground and covered the mammias in the company of black smoke, even a few soldiers' mouths fell open. It was an unusual sight to see such a strong and such a huge attack, so that a person survived and was able to tell about it afterwards.

The battlefield fell completely silent as the brown haired rookie straightened up and shook himself as if just shaking the dust off his clothes. Next to him, the black figure moved as if he had laughed, patted the boy's back, and then disappeared into nothingness in the blink of an eye, as if he had never been there next to the warrior. Stunned by surprise, the crowd watched in amazement as the boy slowly turned towards them.

"Well, that's taken care of." He grinned when a boy in green squealed and ran towards the young solo soldier.

"Rahul!" He shouted happily, and when he reached the rookie, he caught his wrist.

"Citar?" The boy was surprised, and his friend just smiled.

"Um, I don't want to spoil the party, but they're coming again!" Citar nodded towards the mammias, then pulled Rahul after him.

"How did you get here?" Asked Rahul panting as he tried to keep pace with the almost running Citar.

"Ah, it wasn't a big deal, we just signed up to be a gatyaszár, and then the boss found out which team you were on." Citar shouted back over his shoulder.

"What did you sign up as?" Rahul snorted.

"As Gatyaszár." The boy turned between the tents.

"That is rajzan, you are very stupid boy." The chüvigh boy rolled his eyes as they slowed down their running.

"Well, it doesn't matter to me whether it's a rajzan or a pantyhose. The bottom line is that they said that we trouser legs should go help the t-shirts. And then you were there." The boy on the hill pointed.

"Citar for heaven's sake that is rajzan and solo, not pant legs and a t-shirt!" Rahul held his forehead with one hand and grimaced.

"It doesn't change the essence." Citar shrugged, with a wide grin on his lips. "We are here and we are going to escape now before they catch us. So come and get your feet wet, the others are waiting at the edge of the camp.

"Ah, we'll get out while they're busy fighting, huh?" Rahul laughed and then he started forward and, leaving behind Citar, he also hurried to the edge of the camp to the other members of the Athamanas.

In the huge confusion, the team of hegins easily disappeared. The ötandi soldiers were looking for them all afternoon. Or better said, they were looking for the new boy who was set up as a solo, since there were also soldiers from the ötandi's noblest layer on the battlefield, who immediately recognized the move the boy was using. So it is possible that the next day a courier left for the ötandi capital to meet their king.

"Are you sure he used that technique?" The king asked the envoy, when the man shakily told him about the events that happened on the battlefield.

"I saw it with my own eyes, sir." He lowered his head to show respect. The king remained silent for long minutes and thought only looking in front of him.

"Bring that boy to me! Bring him to me at any price!" He gave the order, and the emissary immediately stood up and, after saying goodbye as required by respect, immediately turned around to give the order to as many people as possible. 'The fugitive solo must be immediately brought before his majesty. All necessary means can be used to capture him.'

That's how Rahul became a fugitive solo and that's how the best of the ötandi society started to look for him, but the team was already far away, not even thinking about the threat lurking on them. However, it was not only the ötandis who were active at this time.

At nightfall, the black shadow of the east was at work again and it was windy as he traveled rapidly around every point of the known world, nobody knew what he was looking for, or whether he was looking for anything at all. When people noticed him, they only noticed that a strange black ghostly figure was running away in the corner of their eyes. One moment he was there, but when they turned in his direction, he was already gone. The black shadow traveled all over the land and whoever got in its way was left with nothing but a pile of milky white bones.

The black shadow, on the other hand, was careful, he did not let anyone see him, which is why he may have escaped the attention of that certain white-haired wandering seer, who, albeit secretly and from a safe distance, followed the path of the Athamanas towards the west, almost to the three great mountaims, towards the village resting on the border.

The seer was sitting on the top of one of Karrabata's mountains that very day and looked down from there towards the ever-approaching horse team with a faint smile on his lips. Although he was far from the flat terrain, his eyes saw far and crystal clear. He also saw such small things as the facial features of the young men on horseback, or the movement of their eyes. However, the man was not really interested in such trifles. He was more occupied with another thought.

"Come little hegins. Come, just come! I knew you would get here sooner or later. I just had to wait, and I can wait, I have time, but you..." Here he giggled, then grinned evilly. "Come, my lambs, follow my plans and run into my trap. The noose is tight and once it gets tight..." He sighed heavily before shaking his head. "Once it gets tense, you won't run away!"
