After Wandi's unpleasant discovery, the team took the roads of Madüjawr as quickly as possible. According to Teveli, they had no time to waste, because if that certain grounding was over, then Suk would certainly try to commit an assassination against his uncle, and if that happened, then Razvan's carefully constructed plan for the team, which would allow them to take over the rule of the Karrabata Valley, would turn into mist in an instant it.
So the team set off in a forced march led by Achilleus towards the territory of the Zovárds. Of course, since they were traveling on foot, the trip still took a few days. It happened during one of their night stops, when the Athamanas were sitting calmly around the campfire, that suddenly, out of nowhere, a scroll appeared in the air. The hegins immediately jumped to their feet and drew their swords at the thing floating in front of Rahul's face.
"What the swamp scum is that?" Achilleus looked at the object with piercing eyes, while Rahul slowly looked around the team.
"Put down the sword, in the end you'll hurt each other. It's just a message." He said completely calmly as he raised his hand towards the scroll. "You only have to press here." After saying this, he pressed his index finger to the seal on the scroll. "It's urgent, this is how we communicate, the seal is only opened for the person to whom the letter is addressed." The chüvigh boy explained, while the letter unfolded before his eyes and landed in his hand.
"Hmm.. I can't read this one, even though I can understand the chán's as well." Commented Citar, who sat next to Rahul and peered into his letter.
"That's how we write." He shrugged. "Unlike yours, this part is one word." Rahul drew his finger around a line of five characters, with two small pauses before and after. "Oh, and what's more important, you can only read from right to left, and from top to bottom." Rahul commented, but before he could start reading someone snorted.
"What's the point of being able to read from only one direction?" The question came from Benkó's mouth.
"The chán's can also only be read from top to bottom, although it does not matter if it is from right to left or from left to right." Citar shrugged.
"That doesn't make much sense either. Ours is much more practical, it can be read from anywhere." Achilleus remarked with folded arms in front of him.
"Yours also have basic directions. From left to right, top to bottom. Whether the direction can be changed is another matter." Interjected Rahul, but his eyes were on the text of the letter.
"How do you know that?" The Motumisz boy blinked.
"My father and Uncle Tete were also hegins of course, both of them taught me how to read and write." Rahul looked up at his brown-clad friend and then grimaced. "Will you let me finish the letter now?" He asked the question in a disapproving tone and returned to reading. However, his eyes widened more and more as he approached the bottom of the page.
"Looks like something is wrong. Who did the letter come from?" Asked Citar, who was carefully looking at Rahul's face.
"It's not a small problem! Tapló boss, you can go for Suk, but I have to go home immediately." He stated.
"What happened?" Teveli asked in surprise and with his head slightly tilted to the side.
"Nyiumgyi invasion!" The answer came, as if it explained everything.
"Um... What?" Achilleus leaned forward and blinked widely.
"Nyiumgyi invasion!" Rahul repeated.
"I heard what you said before, but what is that?" The Motumisz boy rolled his eyes.
"It's like four Lamassa wants to destroy your home at the same time." Rahul's features hardened.
"Well, it's not so bad, is it?" Teveli took a big swallow as he thought back to the strange creature living under Madüjawr, whom they met not so long ago.
"Not that bad, I've never seen one that uses fire, but they can cause quite a lot of destruction. The village will have nothing to eat if the crops are destroyed." Remarked Rahul with a grimace.
"Okay, I can see how important this is to you. So just go..." At Razvan's words, Rahul smiled widely, when the boy raised his hand. "But! You can't go alone. We still have a declaration of war over our heads and you are part of our team. I won't leave you unprotected." The leader of the team announced, before the others started nodding.
"Okay, so be it. Who wants to come with me?" Rahul surrendered.
"Me!" Citar immediately raised his hand, and Wandi put his arm around his waist.
"If Citar goes, I go too." The danovus said, while Rahul had to try not to stare at the point where the two boys met, but he couldn't stop himself from flashing a disapproving look at Razvan. He didn't even know why he did this, only that his chest felt strangely tight when his two friends did such things in front of him and that for some reason it bothered him that Razvan was not doing anything. Although he didn't know if he wanted the Tapló boss to stop the pair or to repeat the moves with him.
"I would go, but I know the area of the Zovárds best and I alone know where Suk's home is." Said Teveli, pulling Rahul out of the maze of strange thoughts and feelings.
"I'd better go for Suk, after all, we can get to the west the fastest with me." Benkó frowned.
"If the peeing boy goes for Suk, so do I!" Achilleus declared.
"And I have to go with you, because if someone catches you, I can easily explain why we are there." Razvan said in a harsh voice as he looked at Teveli and the two boys sitting next to him.
"Three of us will be enough. I could manage the nyiumgyi by myself and Wandi is rebelling or something." Rahul waved. "I don't even want to imagine what a vampire can do if he doesn't hold back." The young traveler shivered, which made Razvan smile faintly.
"It's settled then. The three of you head off to your village and we collect Suk before he does something he'll regret." As he said these things, Razvan's voice was much calmer. "Citar, do you still have the hot ice bricks?" Upon hearing the question, the Bolacsuk boy just nodded.
"Of course, boss." He also confirmed the matter with his words.
"Alright, Benkó can easily locate you then. Wandi, it will be your job to keep them safe. I have no doubt that they can protect themselves, but it won't hurt if they know in advance what to be afraid of." He looked with a smile at Rahul and Citar, who looked at each other and grinned widely.
"You just hope to get rid of me so easily, Tapló boss." Announced Rahul, pulling himself out and drawing an evil half-smile on his lips, with which he managed to make the team leader feel nostalgic. After all, a millennium ago, Svihák looked at him the same way, when he said something similar to him during one of their campaigns.
