Chapter 58: A Gentleman's Duty And a Gentleman's Limits
Wu Tian pondered the situation carefully.
Saving her took priority.
Whether he could control himself or not
He would deal with that when the time came.
"One step at a time… uh, no one thing at a time!"
First
He rubbed his hands together.
Not in a perverted way.
But because he had just taken out a small jade bottle from his storage ring.
It contained a high grade hemostatic powder
A basic necessity for any capable fighter.
Then, he rubbed his hands together again
This time, as a mental preparation.
He reached toward Yun Yun's dress
And then he froze.
...Wait a minute.
This wasn't just any dress.
It was a one piece robe
The kind that needed to be pulled over the head to remove.
That meant
If he wanted to undress her properly
He'd have to either pull it up over her head or pull it down past her legs.
Both options were… problematic.
"If I move too much, I'll aggravate her wounds."
"If I pull it down, I'll probably tear her injuries open even more."
"If I pull it up, it'll still hurt her plus, it'll… uh… expose too much."
What a dilemma.
Ripping it apart?
No way.
That would be too crude.
Wu Tian sighed.
"You're a dignified Dou Emperor, yet here you are, unconscious, needing me to undress you just to treat your wounds."
"When you wake up, you'd better thank me properly "
"Or I swear I'll make you regret it!"
As if responding to his words, Yun Yun's long eyelashes trembled slightly.
But
She still didn't wake up.
Wu Tian rubbed his forehead in frustration.
Then
A sudden idea struck him.
"Wait… why am I making this so complicated?"
He didn't need to remove the dress.
He could just… burn it away.
Using his own flames, he could control the intensity perfectly.
He only needed to burn away the unnecessary fabric
Without hurting her.
A perfect solution.
With that in mind, Wu Tian extended his index finger, summoning a tiny flicker of blue green flame.
His expression remained calm as he directed the flame toward Yun Yun's clothing.
There was no sound.
No sudden bursts of fire.
Just a silent, precise disintegration of fabric.
But the moment he finished
His eyes widened in shock.
"Oh. Crap."
He had burned away all of it.
Not just the problematic parts.
Everything.
Her entire robe had turned to ash, leaving behind only
Nothing.
Well
Almost nothing.
Her delicate armor the Sea Heart Soft Armor
Had fortunately remained intact, covering her upper body.
But her lower body…
Wu Tian's brain short circuited for a full two seconds.
Then, in a flash, he threw a blanket over her lower half.
"I didn't see anything. I didn't see anything."
His breathing steadied
Until he looked closer at her armor.
At first glance, it seemed untouched.
But then he noticed
Five deep claw marks had torn through the armor.
"So that's why she still got injured."
It wasn't that the armor failed
It was just that her chest… was too large.
The armor had successfully blocked most of the attack
But not all of it.
Her wounds were still visible through the small gaps in the armor.
And now, Wu Tian faced another problem.
If he wanted to properly clean and treat her wounds
He had to remove the armor.
But this
This was no longer a simple case of first aid.
This was crossing a line.
"A true gentleman knows his limits."
One second later
Wu Tian's fingers had already unfastened the armor clasps.
His eyes flickered as he muttered to himself:
"A true gentleman also knows when to take action."
"And this is for medical purposes! Nothing else!"
With the armor set aside, Yun Yun's injuries were now fully visible.
Wu Tian quickly retrieved a damp cloth, carefully cleaning the wounds.
Then, he applied the hemostatic powder, ensuring the bleeding stopped completely.
Throughout the process
Yun Yun's lips trembled slightly, and soft whimpers of pain escaped her mouth.
Her delicate brows furrowed as she instinctively reacted to the sting.
Wu Tian, however, remained calm.
He was just treating her wounds.
He didn't feel anything else.
He wasn't thinking about anything else.
Absolutely nothing inappropriate was in his mind.
…Right?
After what felt like an eternity, he finally finished.
But then
Another realization hit him.
"Oh. Right."
The blanket beneath her had been soaked with blood.
If she kept lying on it, she would be extremely uncomfortable.
He had to flip her over onto a clean side.
Carefully, he gently repositioned her
And just as he was about to let go
Her eyes snapped open.
Wu Tian froze.
The air in the cave turned ice cold.
Yun Yun's beautiful eyes locked onto him
Filled with shock, fear, and barely contained fury.
She instinctively reacted
And her first words were not words of gratitude.
"It's YOU!!!"
Wu Tian blinked.
He didn't flinch
But in his mind, alarms were blaring like crazy.
"Crap. This looks REALLY bad."
Yun Yun's thoughts, meanwhile, were spiraling out of control.
"The Guardian Elder of the Snake People Clan?!"
"Why is HE here?!"
"Did he… capture me?"
"Is he planning to… make me his… his personal slave?!"
"NO! I WON'T LET HIM!!!"
Wu Tian, however, remained composed.
With a slight smile, he calmly said:
"Ah, Yun Sect Leader. You're awake."
