Chapter 38 - Continuous Breakthrough, Innate Late Stage

After returning to Ivy Villa, Jiang Che went straight to his bedroom.

Sitting cross-legged on his bed, he took a deep breath and commanded:

"System, I want to improve my cultivation."

Ding!

"Deducting 2,000 plot points... Instilling internal strength..."

As the system activated, Jiang Che felt himself being pulled into that mysterious state again.

Powerful waves of true energy surged into his body, reinforcing his meridians and expanding his dantian. His expression showed pure satisfaction as he enjoyed the sensation.

The process lasted about an hour.

When it was over, Jiang Che slowly opened his eyes, a sharp glint flashing within them.

"Peak of Strength level..." he muttered, feeling the endless flow of zhenqi in his body.

But he wasn't satisfied yet.

"System, how many plot points to break through to the Innate Realm?"

Ding!

"Each breakthrough from Strength Peak to Innate Peak costs 5,000 plot points."

"5,000, huh… Then just take me straight to Innate Late Stage!"

Jiang Che's tone was calm, but his decision

was bold.

He still had 18,000 plot points, more than enough to break through three times in a row.

Ding!

"Deducting 15,000 plot points... Instilling inner strength..."

Since he was advancing three entire realms in succession, this time the process took longer.

Jiang Che sat there with his eyes closed, fully immersed in the mysterious flow of power.

The internal force continued merging with his body, refining his meridians, strengthening his bones, and solidifying his

cultivation base.

Unlike traditional cultivation, which required years of training, the system's empowerment was seamless—his foundation remained stable with no side effects.

It was almost unfair.

By the time Jiang Che opened his eyes again, it was already dusk the next day.

"Damn, that took a while."

Taking a deep breath, he carefully examined his newly strengthened body.

His zhenqi now flowed more smoothly, and he could feel it gathering in his dantian rather than just circulating through his limbs.

"So this is the difference between Strength level and Innate level…"

Feeling satisfied, he moved on to his next objective.

"System, instill the 'Sky Poison Sutra' into me."

Ding!

"Deducting 1,000 plot points... Instilling knowledge..."

Jiang Che closed his eyes once more as countless insights and techniques poured into his mind.

After another hour, he finally opened his eyes, a flicker of excitement flashing in them.

The Sky Poison Sutra was far more powerful than its name suggested.

It wasn't just a poison-based technique—it also had the ability to neutralize poison and even heal.

But the most terrifying part was its philosophy:

"Every flower, every leaf, every blade of grass, every tree—everything can be turned into poison."

The possibilities were endless.

With this technique, he could now weaponize the environment itself.

"Heh… with the Sky Poison Sutra, I don't have to fear even those 'genius doctor' protagonists anymore."

Feeling satisfied, Jiang Che stretched and got out of bed.

After taking a refreshing shower, Jiang Che headed downstairs.

"Maid, prepare dinner. I haven't eaten since last night—I'm starving."

As the cook got to work, Jiang Che idly scrolled through his phone.

Immediately, he noticed several missed calls from Su Qingyue.

His heart skipped a beat.

"Did something happen?"

Without hesitation, he called her back.

The call connected almost instantly.

"Hey?"

A slightly resentful voice came through the phone.

"Call me for something?" Jiang Che asked casually.

Su Qingyue huffed.

"It's nothing important. I just wanted you to come with me to inspect the development zone in the east today. But you didn't pick up my calls!"

Her tone carried a hint of grievance.

She was always busy, but today she had actually made time to spend with him—only for this guy to ignore her calls.

Jiang Che chuckled.

"I slept too late last night. I just woke up."

"Hmph."

Su Qingyue snorted.

"Sleeping so late?" she asked suspiciously. "Tell me, where were you fooling around last night?"

Jiang Che rolled his eyes.

"I wasn't fooling around anywhere. I was working overtime on a new type of cosmetics."

"Hmph. Fine, I'll believe you… for now."

Her tone softened slightly.

"But don't overwork yourself. Make sure to get some rest, okay?"

Jiang Che smiled.

"Don't worry, I'm not that fragile."

Suddenly, Su Qingyue's voice became serious.

"By the way, I haven't seen Ye Chen or Xiao Han these past few days."

"Those two might try to cause trouble for you. Be careful."

Jiang Che smirked.

"Pfft, don't you know how brave your husband is?"

There was a brief silence on the other end.

Then—

"Hmph, pervert!"

Before Jiang Che could reply, Su Qingyue hung up the phone.

Jiang Che stared at his screen, amused.

"Tsk, what a temper."

Shaking his head, he put his phone down just as the maid served his dinner.

He hadn't eaten for over 24 hours, so he eagerly dug in.

"With my cultivation rising so fast, it's time to start preparing for the next phase of my plans."

As he ate, his mind began strategizing.

He had plenty of plot points left, powerful techniques, and a rapidly growing cultivation base.

Now, it was time to use them properly.
