Chapter 68 - The Thorned Mother

Mirelah;

I groan as I open my eyes, and the bright green grass I see informs me that it's morning.

I try to move, but I find my movements restricted, and that reminds me that I spent the night in a log.

I sigh at the annoying fact. Me. A princess. Passing the night in a log. How iconic.

I yawn before crawling out of the log, and thankfully, there's nothing in sight. Just the unsettling silence of this place. I search through my bag and pull out a bottle of water. I drink from it till it's empty, and I sigh in exhaustion.

Sleep has never been refreshing here. It always feels like I just closed my eyes for a few seconds, and the next minute, it's bright and I have to wake up.

I can't take any more of this. I'd crash.

I drop the bottle back in the bag, and my heart skips a beat when I realise that I have just one more bottle of water. That will last me till the way back appears. Right?
