{AYAKA}

_I need money! I need money!! I need money!!! I need money!!!! I need money!!!!! I need money!!!!!! I need money!!!!!!!!_

_I still don't know how it happened, but my father has been sick for a while; he was infected by a demon, and his body was slowly rotting. The doctor said I would need fifty million dollars to treat him since he would be taken to another country for a well-trained medical supernatural to heal him. The worst part of it is that there is a fifty percent chance that he will not survive it. The academy had refused to help, but Miss Tokoyami had promised to help, but I needed to get half of the money._

_It started the day my clan was wiped out. A special class demon appeared out of nowhere and killed every living thing._

# AYAKA'S FLASHBACK

"Ayaka, please, can you go and call your brother?" A woman in her early thirties said. "It's late, and I'm worried about him."

The woman had a soft smile on her face as she washed the dishes. She had a long light blue hair and sparkling blue eyes, her slender body and a sweet voice might be able to deceive those that don't know her to think she was still a teenager.

She was the host of the cat goddess, a power which has been passed down to the female of the Kamisato clan for generations.

"But mom..." A little girl with a shorter hair compared to her mother grumbled.

The woman expression suddenly change into an angry look.

"I mean, ...Ayako," the little girl corrected herself.

Ayako had never liked her children calling her mother since it made her feel old, and also she spent most of her time reading a book titled "Being your child's best friend". The little girl has also found it difficult to call her mother by her name.

"I'm filling out my form for the academy, and I need to seriously fill it out to make sure I don't make any mistakes," the little girl said.

"Ayaka, you know you should obey your mother" a much older man who sat on the couch while reading a newspaper decided to chip in.

"I just don't know what's wrong with kids nowadays," Ayako said with a sadden expression.

"Don't act like it's not your fault!!" The man yelled.

Apart from being younger than she look, Ayako was known to be a drama queen. The man was a human who just happened to fall in love with someone as childish as Ayako, but unlike her, he was more mature.

"Okay Dad" Ayaka stood up from the floor and picked up the form and handed it to the man. "Please, can you help me fill out the rest? It says it should be done by my parents."

"I'm also your parent" Ayako said.

"Okay honey"

"I thought I was your honey!"

Ayaka ran out of the house before her mother start with another round of her complain and headed to the training ground close to her elementary school; her brother usually goes there to train with the village elder.

He was the one who taught the younger ones the way of the sword.

"Good evening!" Ayaka yelled and waved at the elder.

"Ahh!, Ayaka. Have you decided to join us today?"

"I'm here for Touji." Ayaka said avoiding the old man's question.

Touji was Ayaka's little brother; he was cherished by the clan because of his skills with the sword, even though he was just four years old. Ayaka was six but didn't show much interest. I've always liked fighting with my hands instead of swinging a sword, since she was going to be the next host of the clan's treasure, they didn't force her.

"What is it?" Touji asked with a disrespectful tone as he walked to Ayaka, his body was covered with blood.

He had never respected his elder sister.

"Don't come close to me until you wash yourself!. Have you been playing with Mitsuri summons again?" Ayaka questioned.

Mitsuri was touji best friend who had the ability to summon animals, and Touji had the habit of killing them during their training. "Mom will be angry with all the bloodstains you got on you"

"She wouldn't care"

"Mom's worried about you; let's go home," Ayaka said to him and waved at the elder. "We'll be going now, elder!"

"Okay, dear, just take care," he waved back at them.

As they turned to take their leave...

# BOOM!!!!!

The ground trembled as they struggled to stay in their feet.

"Where did that explosion come from?" Touji asked.

Ayaka looked straight at the direction of her house, black smoke had already clouded the sky.

"That's our house!!"

"Come on, kids, it's too dangerous to go there," the elder said, Touji and the other kids ran away with him.

"Ayaka, come on," Touji yelled from behind.

Ayaka didn't listen to him, she quickly ran home crying.

"I need to see my parents; I need to see if they are safe," Ayaka yelled again and again as she ran to her house.

By the time she got there, her home had completely collapsed, her mother was being strangled by a demon and her father was lying dead on the ground. The parts of the building that survived the explosion was being burned down by black flames, including the neighboring houses.

"Mom!!" Ayaka yelled and ran to the direction of her mother.

The demon slowly shifted his attention to her, there was a broad, evil smirk on his face. His dark karma was so unbelievable strong that she was finding it difficult to breathe just from sensing it, looking into his bright red eyes made Ayaka feel like she was staring into hell, and she was so close to it that she could feel the heat from the fire on her skin.

_What was this feeling? I can't move my body._

"Looks like your lovely daughter is here; why don't you tell her your last words before you die?" The demon said mercilessly.

"Ay...Aya.... Ayaka... please...run," Ayako struggled to say before her neck was broken.

The demon turned to Ayaka and slowly walked towards her. Ayaka attempted to run but fell on her bottom, she hurriedly tried to stand up but her legs just wouldn't listen to her.

_What's happening to my body??. W-Why can't I stand up?, Is this the demon technique?._ Ayaka thought but quickly realize what was really wrong. _i'm scared_

Tears started dripping down from Ayaka's eyes, she picked up a stone that was close by and threw it at the demon.

"Stay away from me!!!, I said stay back!!!" The stone hit the demon head but barely scratch him. "Why are you doing this?"

The demon didn't say anything else, he just kept walking towards her and when he got close enough to her, Ayaka shut her eyes, waiting for what was coming next.

She suddenly felt a soft pat on her head, as she opened her eyes to see what it was, she found nothing.

The demons was gone, leaving her as the only survivor of the Kamisato clan.
