Chapter 33 - chapter 33

"Guest, do you need hot water?"

The landlady's voice came from outside the room. Ben and Leo were both pretending to be unconscious, so naturally, they didn't respond.

Seeing that there was no answer from inside, the landlady took out the key and opened the door herself. As the door creaked open, Ben's keen hearing discerned three different sets of footsteps. This meant there were at least three people entering!

"Guest? Guest?" the landlady called out a few times, even shaking Ben a little. After discovering that Ben didn't react, she completely relaxed.

"There are so many fools among this year's offerings! They really ate a lot, sleeping like dead pigs," a man's voice said.

Then, another man's voice rang out: "Boss, this offering girl is pretty hot. Can you let me enjoy her first?"

The tavern landlady was silent for a moment before saying, "The Moon Goddess' Family is about to arrive, so you only have three minutes!"

"Hehe, thanks boss, three minutes is enough!" a lewd voice responded.

Ben secretly cursed under his breath. Things were going wrong! He had originally thought that Leo was about to be molested and was preparing to rescue him violently when he suddenly realized the footsteps were approaching him.

Then, a chaotic sound of "Pili Snap La" rang out. The things on the table were swept onto the ground.

The next moment, Ben was lifted from the chair and pushed onto the table. The person who pushed him quickly stood behind him and began unbuckling his belt…

Ben was stunned. Was the "hot girl" they were talking about referring to him?

"F*ck you!" Ben was furious!

Unable to control himself, Ben immediately opened his eyes, filled with anger. When he turned his head, he saw a greasy, lewd man standing behind him with his belt completely undone…

Seeing Ben wake up, the lewd man was stunned, freezing in place.

"Go to hell!" Ben kicked out!

His kick was filled with pure anger. With Ben's current strength, how terrifying would a full-force kick be? The lewd man's fate was a testament to this.

"Crack!!" When Ben's kick landed on the lewd man's stomach, his spine instantly shattered, and all the intestines in his stomach were severed. The man didn't disintegrate on the spot, only because he was wearing a relatively sturdy leather armor.

Immediately after, the man's body shot out like a cannonball.

"Boom! Boom!"

Two loud crashes rang out, and the lewd man's body crashed through the walls, first the room's wall and then the next room's, finally stopping in the third room. By the time it came to a halt, his body was reduced to a pile of rotting flesh, dead beyond recognition.

Ben still didn't feel relieved. He spat hatefully, his anger burning. He turned his fierce gaze to the landlady and the other bald man.

The landlady and the other bald man were frozen in place, stunned.

They never expected that these two were actually pretending to be unconscious. Even more unexpectedly, the strength of this seemingly ordinary-sized man's kick was so great?

"Ah!!" The landlady screamed, and her instincts to run kicked in.

Poof!

A ball of flame suddenly appeared, blocking her path. The temperature in the room immediately skyrocketed. It was Leo who made the move. After Ben caused such a big commotion, Leo couldn't continue pretending to be unconscious.

The other bald man, seeing the situation, didn't hesitate. His knees buckled, and he dropped to the ground in front of them.

"Everything was instructed by this bad woman, Jenny, I… I was just following her orders…" he said.

Jenny.

The landlady's name.

This guy sold out the landlady immediately.

Ben, still angry, knew extracting information was more important, so he resisted the urge to kill them both immediately. He coldly stared at the bald man.

"Tell me everything you know about the Moon Goddess!" Ben demanded.

Upon hearing the name of the Moon Goddess, the bald man trembled, prostrating himself even lower. His mouth opened several times but no words came out. Suddenly, his entire body began to tremble violently, and blood started spurting from his mouth and nose…

Before long, he died in a tragic manner, with blood flowing from all seven orifices.

The scene shocked both Ben and Leo. Just the mention of the Moon Goddess' name had caused the bald man to react this strongly? He died suddenly?

What exactly was the origin of this Moon Goddess?

Ben's gaze turned back to the landlady.

"What exactly is this Moon Goddess?" he demanded.

"Don't ask me, I don't know anything! Don't ask me…" The landlady screamed in fright.

"You won't talk? Then you can go to hell!" Ben threatened.

But even with the threat of death, the landlady remained silent. It seemed that anything related to the Moon Goddess was taboo.

"Please, respected guest, spare me…" she begged.

Just as Ben was about to lose his patience, the landlady suddenly shuddered, a terrified look creeping into her eyes.

"They're coming… they're coming…" she murmured, her eyes vacant.

Her pupils turned crimson red, making her look like a ghost, a terrifying sight. Then, she went berserk, shouting as she lunged toward Ben.

Ben frowned and immediately kicked her away.

"Boom!"

A loud crash rang out. Despite Ben pulling back his strength, the landlady still flew through the air, crashing into the wall next to her. She died on the spot.

Ben stared at the twisted corpse of the landlady, his frown deepening. This was the first time he had killed someone. But he didn't feel any discomfort. Killing these two people was as easy as crushing ants…

The reason he frowned was that he couldn't control his strength properly. Even with just a casual kick, he had killed someone…

"Ben!" At that moment, Leo suddenly pointed toward the window and said, "Look over there."

Ben turned his head and saw many red rays of light shining through the cracks of the window.

He rushed to the window and peered through the cracks. His eyes widened.

He saw a round moon in the sky outside, hanging high above.

But what was strange was that the round moon was crimson red!

The light it emitted was also blood-colored, turning the entire town red. And as Ben looked outside the town, he saw an endless fog had appeared at some point, and in the fog, faint roars of monsters could be heard.

The protagonist was about to go on a killing spree. The more votes, the more bloodshed!
