Chapter 19 - chapter 19

Soon, the lottery for class assignments was completed.

Everyone entered their respective classrooms according to the lots they had drawn.

Each class had exactly one hundred students.

After the students were seated, a middle-aged man entered the classroom.

He was tall and burly, with a fierce face that made him seem unapproachable. His stride was powerful, radiating an intimidating presence.

"Good morning, students. My surname is Adore, and I am the head teacher of Class B. Before you are officially assigned to classes, I will guide you on how to become stronger!"

Teacher Adore spoke while scanning the class with sharp eyes.

His gaze was piercing, causing many timid students to lower their heads in fear.

Unexpectedly, this action provoked a stern reprimand from Teacher Adore.

"Afraid to look at me? Why? Am I terrifying? The monsters in the Spirit Realm are a thousand times more terrifying than I am. If you don't even have the courage to face me, how do you expect to resist and survive?"

No one had expected this teacher to open with scolding, but his show of authority was effective.

Everyone immediately understood that Teacher Adore was strict, and they quickly became serious.

The timid students also raised their heads, not daring to show fear.

Teacher Adore continued:

"Before starting class, I must teach you the way of survival at Chicago University."

"You all have your student cards, correct? Raise your hand if you don't."

No one raised a hand, including Ben, who had already received his card.

"Student cards are extremely important. Keep them safe!"

Teacher Adore said, "Let's first talk about the points in the student card. These points can be used to rent training halls, buy weapons and equipment through the school's internal network, including firearms. Moreover, the school holds an annual internal auction where extraordinary items may appear!"

Hearing this, everyone's eyes lit up.

Extraordinary items at an auction? Chicago University was indeed worthy of its reputation — so generous to motivate students.

"Each student starts with one hundred points. However, starting from next month, class rankings will affect your monthly point allotments. Students in Class A will receive 100 points monthly, Class B students will get 80, and Class C will receive 60."

"If you want more points, you'll have to earn them through your performance in the Spirit Realm."

Through Teacher Adore's explanation, everyone understood:

The points system was vital.

"The internal network is at the bottom of the university's official website. Your login ID is your student card number. The default password is 1-9. Please change your password immediately."

"Although points are important, strength is the true foundation!"

"In the world of transcendents, strength is everything. Without strength, you are nothing!"

"This is not only the rule at Chicago University but will be even more so in society."

Teacher Adore's tone suddenly sharpened.

"But first, you have to survive the Spirit Realm!"

"Next, I'll explain the basic rules of the Spirit Realm."

"First, you may form teams. In normal Spirit Realms, you may have up to four team members. Special Spirit Realms require a minimum of ten."

"Special Spirit Realms are rare. Focus on ordinary ones for now."

"My advice is: form full teams of four people. The Spirit Realm is filled with dangers; teamwork is crucial."

"Don't worry about rewards — basic rewards are not divided among teammates. Only extra rewards are, and those are reserved for geniuses."

"One of your urgent tasks is to find trustworthy teammates before the Spirit Realm opens next month!"

Hearing this, everyone glanced around, instinctively sizing up their classmates.

Teammates would likely come from those beside them — fellow freshmen, equally inexperienced.

"Choosing teammates isn't simple. They must be reliable, and your talents must complement each other!"

"For example: you know about Natural system Devil Fruits. Their powers are strong, but before they fully master Elementalization, their physical bodies are vulnerable."

"If an enemy gets close, they're in danger."

"Thus, Natural system users should pair up with transcendents specializing in physical body strengthening talents."

These words made sense; students nodded seriously.

Teacher Adore added:

"To make teaming up easier, everyone will now announce the talents and abilities you obtained in the Holy Land."

Ben immediately felt a headache coming.

He had anticipated this moment.

There was no way to avoid it!

"Does anyone volunteer?" Teacher Adore asked.

"If not, we'll go in order."

Before he finished speaking, a student stood up:

"Teacher, let me go first!"

Teacher Adore was gratified. He appreciated courageous students.

But soon, his expression froze.

The student continued confidently:

"My name is Ben. Maybe you've heard of the top trending news a few days ago. That's right — I'm the idiot who gave away the Flame-Flame Fruit and fused with the Kryptonian bloodline!"

The entire class erupted instantly.

Everyone stared at Ben in shock.

They hadn't expected that the famous "super simp" from all over North America was their classmate!

Even more unexpected was how calm he was, calling himself an idiot openly, uncaring of others' gazes.

It seemed the online rumors were true — this guy really didn't care about his reputation!

But... how did his talent qualify him for Chicago University?

Even Teacher Adore looked astonished.

Ben, however, simply sat back down like nothing had happened.

His thinking was simple: better to shock them upfront than to be ridiculed later.

As for teammates?

Ben had no intention of forming a team anyway.

Meanwhile, in neighboring Class A…

It just so happened to be Leo's turn to introduce himself…
