Chapter 5 - Right, I am

getting distracted. "So back to my question."

"Ah yes. There are" he started counting with his fingers "One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, TEN! Ten divisions."

"Right, and could you tell me what they are?"

"Why of course, yes. At the bottom stands white, they are basic workers that do basic labour around the city. After that, yellows! They are more of infirmary soldiers, still do basic work and occasionally short distance scouting. Then it's green, also scouting, and sometimes hunting or retrieving. stuff, sometimes bodies." He chewed some more meat and then continued again."Then its dark green, that's when they do big works, scouting, hunting, bounties and much more. Right, what comes after dark green? Ah, yeah teal. Most important jobs usually go to them, or at least some of the hardest. After that comes purple and that's me! Mainly guard the city, on an offhand chance go help the family, Condemned, out. Also we don't usually bother with new recruits, but you are a special case. I wouldn't know what the higher ranks do, aside from silver being an emergency force and gold basically our leaders. And black? I got no clue."

This... is a lot. hold up, so once again. White, Yellow, Green, Dark Green, Purp- no wait, Teal, then Purple, Silver, Gold, and Black. Alright, "but what is it they exactly do? I don't get it. You said hunts, bounties, scouting?"

"Right, right, worry not you'll get it all in due time. Maybe."

"Due time? I don't have time! I want my brothers and go back to Earth!"

"Ha-ha-ha-ha-hah." The laugh made my hair stand. "You can't."

"What?"

"Yeah, sorry to ruin your hopes. You can't leave for following reasons. First, no one knows how to get out of the dungeon. And second, no one who has been to the Calm, and those who have but aren't part of it, cannot leave without permission from the higher ups!"

"But then what of my brothers?"

"I'll tell about that to the higher ups. Just tell me their appearance and names."

"And if you find them?"

"We either bring them here and they join us, or we don't!"

"What do you mean by that?"

"They could be well dead by this point, so if we don't find them, don't pin it on us."

I will find them. We stopped before a giant closed gate, probably made of metal. There stood two guards, they both had purple scarves, and were hoods to cover their faces. They saw Ren and let us pass through, immediately. The new area I entered was far more... advanced? Buildings here were made of marble and with few gold linings around them. They were also taller and more decorated. I mean really decorated. I saw a building have stone statues all around it! Is this where the rich live? Or the higher ranks? Maybe, this is for the ones who are in silver and gold.

"Hey, so you said that there are ten divisions, right? How does one get assigned into them? Will I be one too? If so which one?"

"Tell me... uh speaking of, you don't have a name do you?"

"What? I do have a name! I just... can't remember it..."

"Let's just say it as it is, you don't have a name. I'll make something up for now…" He looked around, then stared me up and down. Started mumbling to himself. At last he spoke "Tell me more about yourself."

"More? Like what?"

"A fun fact maybe, or familiar names, or your favourite food."

"Food? I don't think I have any. A fact about me? I don't even really know who I am. Familiar names? I only know my brothers', Isaac and Oscar."

"Aha! Those will do. Let me think. You have nothing of yourself. Your appearance doesn't give a clue, but you do know your brothers names! Oscar. Isaac. OscarIsaac? No. Osaac? No. IsaacOscar? Doesn't sound good. Tell me which one of them is older?"

"I'm not sure, but I think they were twins."

"Mmh. then maybe... Isascar? No, but it doesn't sound bad. Iscaar... doesn't sound bad. Huh, I like it even! Iscaar, how perfect! I truly am a genius of my field of thought, hah! How about it? You are Iscaar from now on. Remember that."

"My name is… Iscaar?"

"Yes, Iscaar. Man I really am I creative with this one! It's a temporary measure until you remember your actual name."

Honestly, it doesn't sound that bad. I like it. "Yeah."

"Alright then, Iscaar, let's keep going. We are almost there."
