Omniscient POV
The moment Kalawarna laid eyes on Mittelt, her expression twisted with contempt.
"You traitor," she spat, hurling a spear of light with brutal speed. "How could you fall so low as to serve a human?"
Mittelt batted the spear aside with a flick of her wrist, her own light magic sparking to life.
"I told you already," she snapped, blue wings flaring behind her. "You wouldn't understand."
And then they clashed—light against light, wings slicing the air with each movement. The shockwaves cracked the walls around them. Kalawarna fought with righteous fury, but Mittelt's strikes were sharp, calculated, and precise.
Just as Kalawarna reared back to launch a devastating double spear volley, a voice rang out—
"Yo! Mind if I cut in?"
Aika dropped in from above, gravity magic swirling at her heels. She landed beside Mittelt, her smile all sass and spark.
Mittelt blinked, annoyed. "I didn't need your help."
Aika twirled a shimmering gravity blade into existence. "Now, now, Mittelt-chan, I'm just helping like a good friend would."
"D-Don't call me that!" Mittelt stammered, cheeks pink even in mid-combat.
Kalawarna's face contorted with rage. "This isn't a joke!"
She charged at them with a savage roar.
Aika and Mittelt moved in perfect sync.
Kalawarna hurled spears of light—Aika countered with a burst of gravity, pulling the projectiles into the floor.
Mittelt zipped around Kalawarna's side, delivering a beam of searing light to her flank.
Kalawarna stumbled, only for Aika to launch forward, sliding under her and blasting her upward with a gravity pulse from below.
Mittelt took to the air, catching Kalawarna mid-fall with a hard punch infused with holy magic.
Kalawarna spiraled through the air, coughing, her wings struggling to stabilize.
"You little—!" she screamed.
"Oh hush," Aika said, leaping up beside Mittelt. "You're getting outclassed."
The two girls hovered together in the air. Aika smirked. Mittelt huffed.
But they moved as one.
"Combo move?" Aika asked.
"Tch. Fine," Mittelt replied. "Just once."
Aika surged forward, drawing Kalawarna's attention with rapid strikes.
As Kalawarna blocked and dodged, Mittelt came from behind, conjuring a brilliant lance of light.
Aika swept Kalawarna's legs with a low gravity wave just as Mittelt hurled the lance.
It slammed into Kalawarna's back with a flash of holy light, sending her crashing through a wall with a thunderous BOOM.
The dust settled.
Mittelt landed with grace, flicking her hair back. "I could've done that alone."
Aika landed beside her with a wink. "Sure you could, tsun-tsun."
"Don't call me that either!" Mittelt huffed—though a small smile tugged at her lips.
Their teamwork had been perfect.
Kalawarna groaned from the rubble, too beaten to retaliate, too furious to speak.
And above it all, Malrik—glanced their way and grinned.
"Good job, you two," he muttered under his breath. "That's how you handle fallen angels."

Malrik's POV
The battlefield had fallen quiet.
Raynare and Kalawarna lay defeated—one wrapped in my newly conjured magic tendrils, the other slumped and unconscious at Aika and Mittelt's feet. The smell of scorched air still lingered, and flecks of broken concrete drifted down from the shattered ceiling.
I walked over to Raynare without saying a word. She looked up at me, face bruised, one wing twisted at a painful angle. Her pride was gone. Replaced by something more familiar—fear.
"P-Please…" she croaked. "Please don't kill me… I-I'll disappear. You won't have to see me again. I swear it."
I didn't answer. I just tightened the bindings and looked away.
Rias and her peerage approached cautiously, still on guard even after the fight had clearly ended. I could feel the tension in Kiba's stance, see the caution in Akeno's eyes. But none of them stepped forward.
Then came Asia.
She walked up to me slowly, her eyes locked onto mine, her hands clasped in front of her chest like she was praying.
"Malrik-san… thank you. For saving me. I never thought… you were this strong," she said quietly, awe in her voice.
I smiled, resting a hand gently atop her head.
"No worries. Honestly, I wanted to save you the first time we met. But if I had told you back then… well, you probably wouldn't have believed me."
Asia looked down, then back up. Her smile was small, but it was real. "That makes a lot of sense."
Rias stepped in next, arms crossed and eyebrow raised.
"Looks like we didn't need to come and save Issei after all."
"Hey!" Issei stepped forward, still bruised but standing tall. "Malrik, seriously—thank you. You saved my life back there."
I waved him off. "I wasn't here for you, Issei. I was here for Asia. You were just… collateral protection."
Issei's jaw dropped. "Dude! That's harsh! Can you not be so blunt about it?!"
Laughter rippled through the group. Even Koneko cracked a smile.
I turned back to the fallen Raynare and Kalawarna, who were now bound and silent. Rias's expression turned more serious as she followed my gaze.
"So," she asked, "what are you going to do with them?"
I considered it. Really considered it.
My eyes lingered on Raynare as she twitched in fear, watching my every move like a cornered animal.
"I'm not sure," I said slowly. "But honestly? I've been thinking I might as well just kill them."
Raynare's expression crumbled into raw panic.
"N-No! Please—please don't! I was wrong, okay?! I made mistakes! Don't kill me, please!!"
Her voice cracked. Her face contorted with desperation.
I stepped forward and drove a sharp kick into her stomach.
She choked on her scream, coughing violently, folding in on herself.
"Be quiet," I said flatly. "Or I'll kill you quicker."
The silence that followed was absolute.
Then I turned toward Asia.
Her eyes widened.
I smiled gently. "It's your choice, Asia. I'll do what you decide."
Raynare's wide eyes turned to Asia instantly, shimmering with false hope.
The whole room waited—Rias, Akeno, Issei, even Kiba and Koneko.
But I was the only one watching for the right reason.
This is your test, Asia.
You've seen the truth now. Seen what they were planning to do to you. And now… let's see what you choose to become.
