The night was bitterly cold. The previously clear weather turned sharply colder once the sun set. For the Red Moon Pack, the extreme cold of midwinter was a severe test for anyone forced to sleep on the streets. The air seemed to carry an unspeakable tension, as if some unseen presence was quietly drawing near.
Regina sat somewhat uneasily in the car. She was wearing a pale yellow velvet strapless dress, its slim fit and soft fabric hugging her curvaceous figure perfectly. Following the designer's orders, she had been forced to remove her underwear, leaving only breast pads. Without the dress, she would have been nearly nude. The sense of exposure made her feel uncomfortable, as if she were being laid bare for all to see.
