Chapter 182 - Wakanda Comes, Land of Nothingness

"Dear God of Magic, I am Erik Killmonger of the Joint Special Operations Command."

A tall Black man knocked on the door.

When he stood before Aaron, he spoke with a humble tone.

His name might be unfamiliar to some, but he had another title—one that carried weight. He was the cousin of Black Panther.

At this time, he had not yet officially begun his quest for the throne of Wakanda.

However, due to his unique position, Erik had been keeping a close eye on magical affairs for quite some time.

When he learned that many high-ranking officials had begun using their wealth and influence to access magic, he knew he couldn't afford to stay idle.

Erik understood who he was, and more importantly, he understood the true power of Wakanda.

His lifelong goal was to claim the throne, and he was willing to pay any price to achieve it.

But before now, it had been impossible.

With the old king still alive, he had no real chance of executing his plan.

However, the emergence of magic had given him a new idea.

Perhaps, with magic, he could ensure his victory in the ritual challenge.

In Wakanda, he had a rightful claim to the throne.

If he could obtain the Black Panther mantle, he would have access to Wakanda's advanced technology—technology that could enhance his body beyond ordinary human limits.

He wanted to become stronger—stronger than Tony Stark, the current Director of the Bureau of Magic.

Wakanda's technology was leagues ahead of anything in the outside world.

However, Erik understood that the key to everything was the God of Magic himself.

The Magic Net was divided into levels of authority.

If he could connect other Wakandans to his own node within the Magic Net, he would have absolute dominance over them.

He could ensure his reign was unchallenged while maintaining superiority in battle.

But to do this, he needed the help of the God of Magic.

Tony Stark wasn't an expert in such matters.

That was why Erik had come.

He had taken the risk of revealing Wakanda's existence to the outside world just for this opportunity.

"What do you want from me?"

Aaron looked at Erik with an indifferent expression.

The moment he saw the man's familiar face, he knew exactly who he was dealing with.

But Aaron didn't care about Erik's ambitions.

As long as they didn't interfere with his plans, it didn't matter.

For a while now, Aaron had been wondering when the people of Wakanda would come seeking him out.

But surprisingly, before any Wakandan officials arrived, Erik had come first.

It seemed the rulers of Wakanda were still too proud.

They were likely still blinded by their Vibranium technology, believing themselves to be superior to the rest of the world.

They still clung to the notion that Wakanda was the greatest nation on Earth.

"Great God of Magic, I wish to obtain access to the Magic Net. If you are willing to trust me and grant me a higher level of authority, I promise to bring you great rewards in return."

Erik's ambitions were bold.

Not only did he want direct access to the Magic Net without intermediaries, but he also hoped for an investment in advance.

However, Aaron rejected him outright.

"I can provide you with the necessary contracts. Anyone you connect to the Magic Net will be linked through your personal node.""But don't expect anything more. Just remember—rewards come to those who contribute."

Aaron's tone was firm. He had no intention of being overly generous to outsiders.

This wasn't charity, nor was it exploitation.

It was simply a mutually beneficial transaction—one that ensured both parties gained something valuable.

"Thank you, great god. I will remember your generosity. Trust me, I will not disappoint you."

Although he didn't get the upfront investment he wanted, Erik was still excited.

On one hand, it was because Aaron was a literal god—a terrifying force that even the Avengers, the Bureau of Magic, and the United Nations feared.

On the other hand, this deal was already a huge victory for Erik.

After all, not just anyone was granted an audience with the God of Magic, let alone allowed to strike a deal with him.

As far as Erik knew, even the highest-ranking government officials and corporate tycoons hadn't been granted such a privilege.

Most of them had to secretly acquire access to the Magic Net through the Bureau of Magic without even knowing which node they were connected to.

This was done in secrecy—none of them would ever speak about it publicly.

Erik had greater ambitions.

If he wanted to win Wakanda's throne and gain magical power, he needed independence within the Magic Net.

He refused to be like those fools who, no matter how powerful they became, were still servants to the one above them.

He was destined to be a ruler.

And the first step on that path was revenge.

Now, with the power of magic, his plans would be much easier to execute.

After Erik left, Aaron barely gave it a second thought.

He exchanged a few words with his companions and greeted Jane and Daisy, who had once again come to see him.

Then, he turned his attention elsewhere.

The Land of Nothingness

Aaron had already determined the coordinates of the Land of Nothingness.

Using his knowledge, he prepared to teleport there.

In theory, he could simply visualize the location and open a portal, stepping into the void with ease.

However, that method was unreliable.

No one could be certain whether the void in one's memory was identical to the real one.

If the vision in his mind belonged to a parallel universe or led to an entirely different multiverse, things could get complicated.

To avoid unnecessary risks, Aaron used the precise coordinates he had obtained in advance.

With a flick of his hand, the portal opened.

And in the next moment—

Aaron stepped into the Land of Nothingness.
