Before Mia could reply, Henry made the decision for her. He turned to look at Grandpa Emmett and stated, "You cannot be serious, Grandpa."
"What do you mean?" Grandpa Emmett turned his head to the left slightly and glanced at Henry coolly. "What made you think that I was joking, Henry? Ask your father if you must, when was the last time I even made a joke?"
"But grandpa, she is my—"
"Ex-wife, I am aware of that." Grandpa Emmett nodded at Henry's words, which made the man furrow his brows in confusion. He was not the only one.
Mia was just as confused. She believed that after signing the divorce agreement, she would be done with Henry and the Holman family. At most they would become known strangers and nothing else. But it seemed like even if she was ready to let go, the Holman family wasn't ready to do that yet.
"Then why?" Henry asked stubbornly.
Seeing this, Mia was quite glad that he was voicing the same question as her.
