Multiple realms exist across creation. Each one is different from the last. World of mortals, Demon realm, Nytheria, etc. Civilizations residing in these realms would naturally get curious about others when they reached a certain level of advancement. This curiosity leads to research and experiments, which result in making connections across realms and traveling towards them.
It's actually possible to travel across these realms via various methods. The most common method is creating a portal that temporarily connects two realms. The process of making portals is harder than it sounds. It involves utilizing various resources and creating a tier in the fabric of reality. Then you would need to create an opening at the most suitable place from the other realm. Once you create two openings that perfectly overlap with each other, energy will start leaking from both realms, interconnection, forming a temporary bridge between realms.
As common as this method is, it carries significant risks. The biggest risk is, what if someone falls off the bridge or the bridge itself collapses? Where would they go? What exactly is out there, in between realms?
Countless beings formed various hypotheses and did numerous experiments and research. Despite various findings, they were certain of two things.
In between the realms of creation, nothing exists. Whatever or whoever ends up falling into the gap between creation will be reduced to nothingness
There was no proper explanation on how, but they will be consumed in mere seconds, reduced to nothing but an empty husk. Just a shade. Among many names people came up with, the most fitting term would be "The Void".
If anyone possesses the knowledge of what's down there, that would be the 3 eldest primordial gods. Void is the place where their mother, "Nihtherion", resides, tying down all of existence. Bearing witness to the acts of her children. She was quietly observing as per their decision until the moment her husband, the father of her children, was murdered by their own.
Some were jealous of the mortals he favored, some were condescending of his inability to play favorites among other gods, and one among them was heartbroken that he did not intervene and save his chosen peoples.
This person was Aethrion's youngest son and the one he most cherished. Presently, he was known as the fallen god or the demon god. But back then, he only had one name.
Amarion, God of love.
He was born out of love. He bestowed that love upon his chosen people. And when Aetherion did not interfere in their destructive fate, Amarion lost his love. He led a rebellion with fate, time, and other gods by his side, finally plunging his blade and ending his own father. The same blade Aethrion crafted, comparable to the four sacred treasures, and gifted to him. From that moment on, he was known as the fallen. Alongside the blade, which was forced to murder her own creation, Amarion threw their father's body into the void, where him and their mother could be together for all eternity.
..................
This has always been the plan; when he and Adrian discussed how to kill the horseman, the only method available to them was the void. According to the novel Adrian read, the void was like the backstage area of creation. Avatar of flame, Thalia, once went inside the void because her divine sacred treasure was thrown into the void by an enemy. She had an imprinted magic tag that allowed Amelia Evernight to teleport her back on a moment's notice. Thalia was able to endure exactly 30 seconds within the void before she was brought back with her weapon. She recovered in a week thanks to the god of flame's divinity. A normal human would have gone insane or reduced to an empty husk.
Originally, Theon was supposed to have a magic rope around him that would be pulled by the Bloodwolf party. But things escalated too much.
Within the void, there were no beliefs, no desire, and no life. Theoretically, it would be impossible for a concept to exist. They would be reduced to nothing but a lifeless object. So Theo should be able to just walk up to the horseman of war, kill him, and come back in 30 seconds.
As if things were always that simple.
All of his senses were overloaded the moment he fell into the void. When he was falling down, he felt like he was floating upwards. The scenery continuously shifted, changing colors and objects, appearing and disappearing. He could barely see the horseman in front, but he felt the presence of war from behind. When he tried to move forward, he was moving backwards. It was extremely disorienting. He felt like his existence was getting devoured. His life span was steadily running out.

There was another reason why Adrian suggested this method. It was stated in the novel that within the void, Thalia felt like her brain was getting fried due to an excessive amount of data. It was an environment where human beings were unable to endure. That's why, for the past year, residing inside the system, Adrian had combined all sorts of mental creation skills to create a skill that would allow Theon to endure this. It was successful and unsuccessful at the same time. He was able to create a skill at the last second. But it could only stabilize Theon for a few seconds, lessening his pain and disorientation to a bearable level.

His mind started stabilizing, and the pain lessened. He started walking towards the horseman. Realistically, this is a losing situation. !5 seconds left to live, and he had no idea how to go back. He literally fell in without any type of anchor.
But despite all that, he still kept walking. His body is on the verge of breaking down. His vision is tunneling. Every step felt like walking under the ocean. He couldn't feel his legs but kept walking forward as if programmed.
ESTIMATED TIME UNTIL DEATH: 10 seconds.
After arriving in front of the horseman who stood still as if a statue, Theon raised his blade.
He could not feel his lungs, so how was he breathing?
He could not feel his arms, so how was he swinging his sword?
AND SINCE WHEN DID HE START HOLDING A SWORD? Where the heck did it come from? He had no answers. The sword was shining in a beautiful Cyan glow. He raised it as high as he could and-

Without any hesitation, he swung his sword, severing the horseman's head, ending him, then fell onto his knees and passed out.
................
Within nothingness, two figures could be seen. One was standing still despite being headless, slowly disintegrating. The other was on his knees. His body was smoking and breaking apart like porcelain. But he did not fall apart. Small cyan color lines ran across his body. His existence itself was going through a rebirth. His body and soul breaking and restructuring.
Far above, sitting on a stone-cold throne, this scene was observed by a woman. Raven color hair cascaded down her shoulders. Her grey eyes observed the entire situation with fascination. She slowly got off her throne and made her way to that place.
She looked carefully at the boy and gave a satisfied smile. She looked at the sword he was holding.
"It seems you have found a worthy master at last. Are you content?"
The sword glowed brighter, declaring her happiness. Nihtherion smiled seeing that.
"I'm glad. But what happens if this child goes down the same path?"
The sword glowed again.
"So, you're going to protect him and keep on the right path? That's a big ambition, child. Especially since this young man is destined for many great or terrible things."
She slowly kneeled down and started patting Theon's head.
"He is being reborn in the void, where mine and Aetherion's essence linger. You know what that means, right? This young man will be reborn as our child. The last child between creation and destruction. His mortal vessel will endure as much as it can and will eventually evolve."
"Theon Ignisborn, a mortal no longer. A seed of creation, a fragment of destruction, and thirst for victory. What kind of God will you become, my last son?"
