Anna: Okay, it's my turn to ask the last question. I have things to do.
Riley: What kind of things?
****: It's my turn, Anna. Remember.
Anna: Okay, okay, I'm sorry.
(I need to come up with another question right away.)
****: Anna, what criteria do you use to choose the people you surround yourself with? Do you think the people around you are compatible with you?
Anna: We just said one question.
****: That's exactly what I asked.
Anna: Okay, but what kind of question is that? I don't really have any clear criteria.
****: Anna, there has to be one; you might just not realize it. Think about it for a bit and it will come to you.
Anna: Okay, well, give me a minute. You're worrying me.
****: Okay, okay, don't rush. We're not in a rush.
Riley: Anna, calm down; we have time, like he said.
(I'm sure Riley is trying to make herself look like a reliable and good girl by supporting me in every way.)
****: Come on Anna, time is passing; you can't get it back later.
Riley: Yes Anna, time is one of the few things we can't get back.
Anna: If you keep pushing me like this, I won't answer at all. Just be quiet.
****: Okay.
(Riley has a good mind; I get that now.)
Anna: Okay, I thought about it. My criteria for people I want to meet and hang out with are honest, trustworthy, knowledgeable, and cool enough for me.
****: You have really good criteria, but if you want honest people, then you end up blaming them unfairly, which creates an imbalance, doesn't it?
Anna: Everyone makes mistakes; I've made them in the past. Also, how many more questions do you want? I thought we had an agreement. Now it's my turn to ask.
****: Okay Anna, go ahead; I won't push it too hard. Ask your last question.
(I put her under a lot of pressure; now she can't get over it. Riley can't support me anymore because Anna might not ask the questions they agreed on under that pressure.)
Anna: Do you remember when we first met that you said I was bad at communicating with people?
(I don't really remember saying that; I never actually said it. It's a complete lie and I'm about to finish it.)
****: Anna, I never said that. You're great at misremembering things. If I was really bad at communicating with people, would I be able to talk to you so easily here? You just said I was being intelligent and logical. Stop being inconsistent. What's your point here?
Anna: Oh no, I didn't mean that; don't take it personally.
****: So how did you mean it? I think your heart is telling the truth; you really do treat people badly, Anna. You did the same thing to me, falsely accusing me for no reason. You need to fix things. Your heart and your brain have different purposes.
Anna: That wasn't my intention; I'm really sorry. Maybe you're right. I'm a bad person.
****: It's okay; don't worry. Like I said, there might be some good in you.
Riley: Yes, calm down, Anna; she's right.
****: Okay, let's stop this stupid game. What's your real purpose? Anna, you only told me about your future; who is this Riley?
Riley: I'm just a friend of hers; she brought me along. We're going somewhere else soon.
****: Riley, what's your last name?
(I'm sure you'll think about it; no one thinks about their last name; they just give you a straight answer.)
Riley: Uh, Riley Brown.
****: Why are you thinking so hard? I know your name is fake. Stop playing this game and tell me who you really are.
Anna: Okay, calm down, robot. I'll tell you why we're here and who Riley is, but this stays between us. You beat us.
****: Okay.
(I hope these aren't sentences that make me look weak by saying I'm strong.)
