Chapter 139 - Chapter 139 – The Portal Opens, and the Forest Dragon is Stunned

On Xia Yinyue's side, the two races had spent nearly a full day adjusting and were now fully prepared.

Gathered once again in an open space, the forest dragon stood at the forefront. After a long period of recovery, she was now glowing with vitality, showing no trace of the despondency from being overwhelmed by the Sacred Wood Elves earlier.

"Honorable Mother Goddess, we are fully assembled and await your command," the forest dragon lowered her head respectfully.

Behind her, the angels and wind sprites followed her lead, bowing similarly.

Hearing that they were about to visit another world for an exchange, these creatures couldn't help but feel a little tense. Though they had already encountered the other side, this would be an entirely new environment.

Moreover, this time, it wasn't about fighting but about a peaceful exchange the first of its kind. Naturally, they felt uneasy.

Meanwhile, on the other side, aside from Hyper Zetton, who was out exploring the cosmos, all the other leaders had gathered.

After all, welcoming guests required the utmost courtesy.

Aurora stood on the shoulder of the Treant King, accompanied by several high-ranking treants behind her.

"All right, I'm about to establish a portal connecting the two worlds," Bai Ze announced. "Aurora, once the portal opens, you'll head through first and escort the visitors to our world."

With that, he waved his hand grandly, and a faint connection was established between him and Xia Yinyue.

Their subconscious minds aligned, and suddenly, a strong gust of wind swept through both worlds.

At the designated spot, strands of silk began to appear, spinning and weaving together into a swirling vortex. Slowly, the vortex expanded into a massive portal connecting the two realms.

On Xia Yinyue's side, the creatures felt the ground tremble slightly as if something massive was approaching.

"They're here!" someone exclaimed.

Looking ahead, a large brown foot was the first to step through the portal.

Following that, a procession of towering treants, each standing 10 meters tall and exuding a majestic aura, began to emerge.

Under their shadows, the forest dragon remained calm, but the other creatures instinctively took a few steps back.

To their surprise, the other world wasn't just home to large birds and cephalopods it also housed an abundance of formidable beings.

Each of these treants was a magical creature, much like themselves, with the weakest among them at mid-servant rank.

As the earth rumbled once more, the Treant King made his grand entrance.

Standing at the same height as the forest dragon, the Treant King's towering form exuded an overwhelming presence.

As the treants lined up on either side of the portal, Aurora descended gracefully from the vines extending from the Treant King's shoulders.

"I, Aurora, as an envoy, represent our homeworld and, under the will of my lord, formally invite you to visit our realm," Aurora declared with a serene yet commanding tone.

Hearing this, the forest dragon hesitated momentarily, excitement flickering in her eyes.

A Treant King a magical creature at the warlord level!

To ride such a creature as a mount could only mean that Aurora held an exceptionally high position in her world, perhaps even second only to its ruler.

"Boss! Boss!" one of her followers whispered urgently, snapping her out of her thoughts.

"Ah... oh!" The forest dragon quickly composed herself and stepped forward.

"I am the Forest Dragon, and on behalf of my tribes, I gladly accept your invitation to visit your world," she said with a slight bow.

Then, as if seizing an opportunity, she added, "However, the journey through the portal is long and arduous. May I offer to carry you on my back for the trip?"

On the surface, she appeared calm, but internally, she was nervous.

Her followers widened their eyes in shock.

When had their boss ever stooped so low as to offer herself as a mount?

Aurora, however, merely narrowed her eyes and smiled.

"Very well, I'll take you up on your offer."

As she spoke, vines lifted Aurora onto the forest dragon's back.

The forest dragon was overjoyed, thinking she had successfully allied.

To flaunt her success, she shot a smug glance at the Treant King, as if to say, Look who's got the upper hand now.

The Treant King merely tilted his head, looking confused.

"All right, I will lead the way through the portal," the forest dragon declared, stepping confidently forward with the angels and wind sprites following behind.

During the journey, Xia Yinyue continued attempting to connect with Bai Ze.

In a unique shared space, Xia Yinyue's form materialized before Bai Ze, her gaze fixed on a lush green sphere below.

"Bai Ze, is that your planet?" she asked, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.

"Why don't you show me around?"

Smiling faintly, Bai Ze replied, "Of course. Let's head inside."

With a wave of his hand, their consciousnesses entered the planet, revealing a vivid and detailed scene.

On the other side of the massive portal, the forest dragon emerged with even more pride than before, practically radiating arrogance.

After all, as a dragon, her intelligence was high, and she had long heard tales of "borrowing authority" to elevate one's standing.

Now, with the strongest entity of both worlds on her back, she felt invincible.

"Forest Dragon, welcome to our world," Aurora announced from her position atop the dragon.

Hearing this, the forest dragon puffed out her chest, brimming with confidence as she opened her eyes.

But what she saw made her freeze in place, her jaw dropping in shock.

Waiting at the portal was not only her previous opponent, Kunpeng, and Gatanothor, but also a new figure the Sword-and-Shield Taotie!

As her gaze locked onto this tiger-shaped creature with azure skin, fangs, and shield-like features, her entire body trembled.

The aura emanating from it was utterly terrifying, starkly contrasting Aurora's gentle presence.

This wasn't just any creature; this was a warlord-level entity.

Her mind reeled.

On this planet, there wasn't just one warlord-level being there were multiple!

The Sacred Wood Elves weren't even the strongest race.

Could it be that this tiger-like entity was the true leader of this world?
