The familiar voice startled Kade and his head snapped around so fast he almost gave himself whiplash.
And then, watching the girl calmly descend the stairs, his eyes popped out, ''You… You… What… How?"
Ella was dressed in a pastel green flowy dress, her long hair was combed neatly, cascading in front of her shoulders. Her soft face glowed, thanks to her religious skincare routines and subtle makeup.
Kade rubbed his eyes.
Ella remained calm in the face of such blatantly shameless eyes that scanned her from head to toe endlessly.
Kade sucked in a deep breath, ''It's really you?!"
Ella smiled, ''Who else were you expecting?"
Kade already couldn't believe his eyes and then, what he saw next hit him like a freight train, rearranging his insides.
Ella walked up to Adrian, leaned down and kissed his cheek,"I thought you already left so I ended up taking too long in getting ready. Did I make you wait?"
The grey clouds around Adrian parted and sunshine poured in.
