Chapter 73 - Wrapped in our bubble

The day passed, and we stayed inside, wrapped in our bubble.

It felt like safety. And it felt like something worth protecting.

I watched Christian as he scrolled through his phone later that evening, his legs stretched out on the couch, one arm lazily draped over the backrest, a slight smile playing on his lips. He looked relaxed. At ease.

Not like the Christian from press photos or the headlines. He looked… Normal. Human.

I couldn't stop looking at him.

He didn't notice at first. His focus stayed on the screen, probably reading something work related, but I memorized every inch of him in that moment.

The slope of his nose. The tiny dimple that barely showed when he smirked like that. His thick brows. His full lashes. The small scar, barely visible, just under his lower lip. The way his fingers moved as he scrolled, quick, confident, like even his thumb knew how to take control.
