Ye Wen's demeanor shifted from serious to somewhat lazy and indifferent, which immediately put the Silver Dragon King at ease.

"This body is having a significant impact on my thoughts," the Silver Dragon King internally grumbled, shifting the blame.

However, the Silver Dragon King didn't hesitate to state her purpose. After all, as a member of the dragon clan, she was accustomed to relying on sheer strength rather than cunning schemes.

"I hope to form an alliance with Lord Sea God to resist the god realm together."

Finally, they had arrived at the main topic. Ye Wen straightened up slightly, becoming more attentive.

Still, the Silver Dragon King remained rational, unlike the reckless Golden Dragon King, who sought outright confrontation rather than simply resisting the god realm.

"Oh? Silver Dragon King, my true body is currently in the god realm. What nonsense are you speaking?

Not reporting you to the god realm already shows great restraint on my part."

Contrary to Ye Wen's expectations, the Silver Dragon King didn't show any signs of panic. Her noble violet eyes remained calm, gazing steadily at Ye Wen.

After a moment, the Silver Dragon King softly spoke.

"You won't do that, and I know you don't wish to submit to the god realm either. Otherwise, the number of powerful individuals on Douluo Star wouldn't have increased so drastically in just a millennium."

The Silver Dragon King's words left Ye Wen momentarily speechless.

What happened to the simple, pure, and easily deceived spirit beasts he had expected?

What was going on? Wasn't the Silver Dragon King supposed to be a love-struck fool? Why was she so perceptive when dealing with him? And how had she so quickly seen through his carefully laid plans?

After all, the gods in the god realm hadn't paid much attention to Ye Wen cultivating divine officials on Douluo Star—they assumed he was merely building his own faction.

Since none of the former subordinates of the Asura God had joined Ye Wen, he had to start from scratch. His actions of collecting divine cores further confirmed their assumptions.

"Heh, interesting," Ye Wen muttered after a pause, suppressing a cold laugh.

His icy gaze locked onto the Silver Dragon King.

Though she shouldn't have felt fear, the Silver Dragon King instinctively grew apprehensive. Beneath the table, her delicate hands clenched tightly—this body's lingering instincts were reacting to Ye Wen's potential anger or displeasure.

Ye Wen continued, "If you want to discuss cooperation, fine. But tell me, Silver Dragon King, what chips can you offer?

As far as I know, aside from Di Tian, the former guard captain of the Dragon God, you don't seem to have any other gods under your command, do you?

Oh, and hasn't Di Tian still not managed to regain his god-level strength after all these years? So, what makes you think you can cooperate with me?

Are you relying solely on your status as a God King? My true body may be slightly weaker than you, but my combat strength has already barely reached the edge of the God King realm.

So, answer me, Silver Dragon King. What price are you willing to pay for this alliance?

And by the way, here's some news for you—my wife will soon achieve God King status as well."

The Silver Dragon King fell silent.

Ever since awakening and sensing that her avatar had broken through to godhood, she had rushed over to merge her consciousness with this body without thoroughly considering how to propose an alliance with Ye Wen.

Seeing the Silver Dragon King lower her beautiful eyes, it was clear she was pondering how to convince Ye Wen to ally with her.

Ye Wen wasn't in a rush. Slowly, he prepared two cups of tea—one for himself and one placed before the Silver Dragon King.

Watching the faintly fragrant steam rise from the tea, the Silver Dragon King became lost in thought.

"Sigh~" The Silver Dragon King let out a soft sigh, picked up the teacup, and took a gentle sip.

For some reason, Ye Wen sensed a hint of laziness emanating from the Silver Dragon King, but he quickly dismissed the thought. After all, as half of the Dragon God, how could she possibly exude such an aura?

Though, come to think of it, the Dragon God wasn't exactly a paragon of virtue either.

The sound of the Silver Dragon King placing the teacup down brought Ye Wen back to reality.

"Well? Have you figured out how to propose this alliance?"

The Silver Dragon King shook her head lightly.

"As you said, the chips I hold aren't enough to sway you."

Ye Wen sat up straight, his gaze fixed intently on the Silver Dragon King, waiting to hear what she would say next.

"Since you've refused to ally with me to resist the god realm, let's shift the topic.

I'm sure Lord Sea God is aware that dragons are now scarce on Douluo Star. Therefore, I hope to gain your assistance in restoring the dragon race's reproduction."

Ye Wen froze for a moment. He hadn't expected the Silver Dragon King to abandon the idea of an alliance and instead ask for help in preserving the dragon lineage.

He had only intended to negotiate terms, ensuring the Silver Dragon King would follow his lead in future actions. Yet, to his surprise, the Silver Dragon King had completely flipped the table, choosing to focus on nurturing her own faction.

Though pure-blooded true dragon spirit beasts were now rare on Douluo Star, Ye Wen hadn't anticipated that the Silver Dragon King would prioritize them.

After all, based on the information Ye Wen had gathered in his previous life, hadn't she impulsively run off with Tang San's son to establish the Tang Family Continent?

Could it be that his interference in history had altered the Silver Dragon King's way of thinking?

Shaking off the jumble of thoughts in his mind, Ye Wen studied the Silver Dragon King carefully. This was no love-struck fool—she was a highly rational being employing a strategy of retreat to advance.

"Helping you is possible, but what can you offer in return?

And surely you don't think these new dragons will rapidly cultivate to godhood and then seek revenge against the gods of the god realm, do you?

Moreover, you're aware of the source of divine energy required to break through to godhood, right? I can't allow you to recklessly drain the faith energy of Douluo Star."

Despite Ye Wen's firm and resolute stance, the Silver Dragon King showed no sign of distress. Instead, she calmly replied,

"I don't need these new members of the dragon race to reach godhood. My goal is to preserve the dragon lineage.

Compared to the Douluo Star of old, the current dragon population is less than one percent of what it once was, and most are mixed-blood subspecies.

If I don't act now, the dragon race will vanish into the dust of history. Compared to seeking revenge against the god realm, ensuring the survival of the dragon race is far more important."

Watching the confident and eloquent Silver Dragon King, Ye Wen fell silent.

Damn, this was too damn unexpected.

He had planned to rely on the Silver Dragon King's strength to maintain a balance of power in future conflicts. Yet here she was, abandoning the fight entirely and focusing on preserving the dragon race instead.

Wasn't she supposed to stubbornly go it alone and end up utterly defeated? Why had her approach changed so drastically in this timeline?

Ye Wen scratched his head in mild frustration before fixing his gaze seriously on the Silver Dragon King.

"So, if I help ensure the dragon race's survival, what can you offer in return?"

The Silver Dragon King paused for a moment, then met Ye Wen's gaze earnestly.

"I will ensure that the dragon race shares a common destiny with humanity, working together to reconquer this universe."
