Previously, Ye Wen had always assumed that the Sea God was the deity of the seas, and thus its corresponding rules must be derived from the principles of water.

This was the direction Ye Wen had been studying all along.

However, today's conversation sparked an entirely new idea in his mind.

The Sea God—perhaps it wasn't merely the god of the seas.

Through his divine core, Ye Wen once again entered the realm of rules—a special world inaccessible to mortals.

He couldn't perceive other rules; the only thing he could see was a towering path of blue and white stretching before him.

"Hopefully my guess is correct," Ye Wen muttered, then stepped into the path alone.

During this cultivation, Ye Wen seemed to lose all sense of time, completely immersing himself in the Dao.

After an indeterminate amount of time—

The previously unassuming Sea God Temple suddenly erupted with unprecedented fluctuations. A beam of white light shot straight into the sky, startling the entire god realm.

The first to sense this anomaly were naturally the four God Kings.

The Destruction God King, who had always advocated for expanding and strengthening the god realm, wore a delighted smile as he sensed the powerful divine energy emanating from the Sea God Temple.

"Hahaha! To think that after just a few years, our god realm has returned to the era of five God Kings. This is truly cause for celebration!"

The other three God Kings nodded in agreement. Only at their level could they comprehend the myriad terrors lurking deep within the universe.

Though their location was remote, there was no guarantee that those terrifying entities wouldn't one day come knocking.

Moreover, Ye Wen's character was commendable—he wasn't like the troublemaking Asura God of old, stirring up chaos everywhere. The four God Kings were genuinely pleased with Ye Wen's breakthrough.

Unlike the immediate reactions of the four God Kings, most others were clueless about the significance of this phenomenon.

It was only after some reminders from the older gods that these newer deities, who had never witnessed a God King's breakthrough, finally understood.

To think that a younger generation god like Ye Wen had surpassed them all, even eclipsing the former glory of Poseidon, the Sea God. With complex expressions, they began to make their way to offer congratulations.

But at this moment, Ye Wen was in the critical phase of his breakthrough and could not be disturbed.

Bibi Dong and Qian Xue transformed into door guardians, intercepting the approaching gods.

Seeing these two younger gods, who were also at the peak of first-tier godhood, the other gods couldn't help but feel conflicted.

Many male gods were especially envious—not only had Ye Wen ascended to godhood at such a young age, but his two beautiful wives were also first-tier gods, among the strongest in the god realm.

Suddenly, a chilling aura imbued with bone-piercing killing intent spread out, causing many gods to warily turn their gaze.

A newly ascended god clad in blood-red divine armor, wielding a long blade, slowly flew over and stood alongside Bibi Dong and the others.

"My master is currently breaking through. Please do not act rashly."

The emotionless voice belonged to none other than Dao Ba.

Upon seeing Dao Ba, many gods' expressions changed, their eyes filled with apprehension.

Among them, the Killing God's expression was the most complicated. He had once been under the Asura God King, but the latter had fled without taking him along, leaving him in an awkward position within the god realm. Ye Wen hadn't accepted him either, so he had no choice but to join the Destruction God King's faction. Though he wasn't exactly a "three-time servant," his status was certainly diminished compared to before.

Meanwhile, the other gods began murmuring among themselves.

"So this is the newly ascended Asura God everyone's talking about? Even as a second-tier god, he exudes a presence rivaling that of a first-tier god. Truly terrifying."

"This Sea God really knows what he's doing, finding someone so perfectly suited for the Asura God position."

"Speaking of which, isn't the Asura God's super divine artifact supposed to be the Asura Demon Sword? Why is it a blade now?"

Dao Ba paid no heed to their discussions. As long as they didn't cross his line, everything was fine.

As for why Dao Ba wielded a blade instead of the Asura Demon Sword, it was naturally due to Ye Wen's influence.

Ye Wen had thoroughly reviewed the inheritance of the Asura God.

The divine techniques associated with the Asura Demon Sword were pitifully few; most focused on the application of Asura divine power and the art of slaughter.

Thus, Ye Wen decided to take drastic measures. He heavily modified the blueprint for the Asura Demon Sword.

Dao Ba's original Heavenly Demon Mind-Disturbing Blade was transformed into the current Asura Demon Blade, still a super divine artifact, perfectly inheriting the abilities of the Asura God while being far more suited to Dao Ba's combat style.

The towering pillar of light persisted for a while before finally dissipating, but what followed was a divine pressure that caused many gods to pale in shock.

"So this is the might of a God King… Terrifying indeed—"

Such thoughts surfaced in the minds of many gods.

At this moment, footsteps echoed from within the temple.

Ye Wen emerged, clad in golden-blue armor and wearing a golden crown adorned with three sharp horns.

Though he still wore the same Sea God divine armor, the overwhelming aura he inadvertently exuded far surpassed that of a first-tier god, causing the congratulatory gods to adopt serious expressions.

Though most gods had never witnessed the other God Kings in action, they unanimously acknowledged Ye Wen's strength as a new God King, bowing respectfully in greeting.

"Respectfully greet the Sea God."

Ye Wen gave a slight nod, attempting to suppress the aura emanating from him. However, he was still clearly inexperienced, occasionally releasing bursts of astonishing pressure.

This was the result of a massive leap in his cultivation level, leaving him unable to fully control his newfound power.

"From now on, I am no longer the Sea God."

Ye Wen's words caused many gods to change their expressions. Was this great elder planning to flee as well? To leave so soon after breaking through seemed far too abrupt.

But Ye Wen's next words eased their concerns slightly.

"I have gained new insights from my divine position. From now on, you may address me as the Vast Sea God or the Vast Sea God King.

If the other God Kings need me, I'll excuse myself from further pleasantries for now. I will host a banquet later, and I hope you'll all honor me with your presence."

Ye Wen's courteous demeanor won the favor of many present, prompting them to respectfully urge him to hurry to the Divine Council. Matters concerning God Kings were of utmost importance and should not be delayed.

Watching Ye Wen streak away as a bolt of light, the gods looked on with envy.

Though Ye Wen had already been one of the top figures in the god realm, his ascension to God King status elevated him to an entirely different level.

However, many first-tier gods fell into deep thought.

Why had the former Sea God changed his divine name to "Vast Sea"? Could it contain the secrets to breaking through to the God King realm? This thought ignited fiery determination in many first-tier gods, making them wish they could immediately ask Ye Wen for answers.

After all, though they knew the conditions for transcending to a God King involved merging with the Dao, the specifics were extremely obscure, even when explained by the four God Kings. Each version differed, leading them to suspect whether the God Kings were deliberately misleading them.

Now, Ye Wen's emergence might represent a turning point.
