Chapter 267 - Chapter 268: Middle-earth Hogwarts Academy

Chapter 268: Middle-earth Hogwarts Academy

Back when the Elves migrated westward, Thingol chose to remain in Middle-earth because he had fallen in love with the Maia Melian, the guardian of the forest. He then established the Kingdom of the Grey Elves.

His younger brother, King Olwë of Alqualondë, took on the responsibility of leading the majority of their people to continue the journey to Valinor, becoming the Sea Elves who lived by the shores of Valinor.

Thus, the Grey Elves and the Sea Elves were originally one family, and the High Kings of both races were biological brothers.

Moreover, the third prince of the Noldor Elves married the eldest princess of the Sea Elves and had several children, including Finrod.

By that count, Finrod, Angrod, Aegnor, and Galadriel's mother was Thingol's own niece, and their relationship was naturally quite close.

Therefore, when the Noldor Elves returned to Middle-earth, Thingol was overjoyed. He held a grand feast in the Grey Elves' Kingdom and invited all the Noldor to visit—especially Finrod and the others who were blood relatives.

However, when he later learned that Fëanor's family had killed his brother and slaughtered most of the Sea Elves, he was furious. He expelled them all from the Grey Elves' Kingdom and firmly declared that he would not help Fëanor to avenge himself or reclaim the Silmarils.

Nonetheless, he remained very friendly toward Fingolfin's line and Finrod and his siblings, who had not participated in the Sea Elves' massacre.

Galadriel spent most of her time in the Kingdom of the Grey Elves, studying knowledge and magic under Maia Melian and enhancing her wisdom.

Now, with the eastern defensive line broken and the Balrog army entering the heart of the continent, this was no longer just a matter of Fëanor's family seeking revenge—it concerned the lives of all beings on the continent.

Finrod believed that Thingol would send troops to help restrain the Balrog army.

"I have another proposal!"

Just as the meeting was nearing its end, George suddenly spoke up.

Upon hearing him, everyone turned their attention to George.

"Morgoth continues to use his power to create new creatures. If he can create one dragon, he might be able to create a whole batch of them—or even more terrifying beings.

If we only focus on defense like this, we might hold out for a hundred years, but not necessarily for a thousand—or ten thousand."

"You mean we should go on the offensive and attack Angband?"

Fingon shook his head:

"Angband is shrouded in Morgoth's power, filled with black smoke and poisonous mist. Most Elves aren't strong enough to withstand it. If we launch an attack, we'll lose half our troops before the battle even begins."

Back then, the reason they only built defensive lines instead of pressing their advantage and invading Angband to kill Morgoth—

Was because ordinary Elves of the Light were greatly suppressed once they entered Angband and couldn't fight Morgoth effectively.

It was just like how orcs were weakened or even killed outright when exposed to sunlight and moonlight after leaving Angband.

"No, I know attacking Angband now isn't realistic. What I mean is improving the overall strength of Elves and Humans."

George smiled.

A look of confusion spread across everyone's faces.

"Improve the overall strength of Elves and Humans?"

"Yes. What do you think of my magic?"

George asked.

"It's very powerful. If it weren't for your magic, we wouldn't have been able to repel Morgoth's army."

Finrod's tone was full of praise.

George's magic might not be that effective against top-tier enemies like Sauron or the dragons, but against regular orcs, it was a devastating force.

The key was its wide area coverage, versatility, and terrifying efficiency in killing enemies.

Even if the Elven princes present worked together, their efficiency on the battlefield likely wouldn't come close to what George's magic could achieve.

So he truly believed that George's human magic was strong and impressive.

"What I mean is—if all Elves and Humans learned my magic, wouldn't we then have enough power to attack Angband?"

George stood up and explained passionately:

"So here's my proposal: we establish an academy in this central Elven city, where both Humans and Elves can teach each other their magic, battle skills, archery, and so on.

At that time, all Humans and Elves can come here to learn and improve themselves.

With this, the overall strength of Humans and Elves will rise significantly, and Morgoth's army will no longer be a threat!"

He had two main goals for this proposal.

First, he genuinely wanted to help Humans and Elves grow stronger. Elves were born with strong magic and excellent learning abilities. If they could learn his magic—

Then combining archery, swordsmanship, and magic, their power would increase tremendously.

The same applied to Humans. A large number of human mages casting spells from the rear would be far more efficient than close-combat fighting.

Even in close combat, they could cast Giant Magic first, then go in for melee.

If the power of Humans and Elves increased dramatically, the chances of conquering Angband and killing Morgoth would also rise greatly.

Spreading magical knowledge to Humans and Elves, and defeating Morgoth and the Dark Army—this would surely be seen as a tremendous achievement by the Valar. His dream of living and studying in Valinor would then be within reach.

Second, if the academy was truly established, it would surely attract many top Elven masters to teach—like the future Elven Queen Galadriel, and Lúthien who could hypnotize Morgoth.

That way, he wouldn't have to travel from Elven land to Elven land learning Elven magic.

Interacting with these Elven elites directly at the academy would be far more efficient.

As George spoke at length about the benefits and prospects of establishing an academy, the Elven princes seemed to see a beautiful future: countless Elves and Humans unleashing waves of light arrows to obliterate orcs, transforming into giants and leveling Angband to the ground.

As for military strategy and troop deployment, George naturally didn't understand. He hadn't been some military expert in his previous life.

But when it came to painting grand visions, he had some experience.

After all, in his previous life, he was fed empty promises by his boss every day. Even in the Harry Potter world, he had fed plenty of those to the diary-bound Voldemort.

Elves and Humans of this era were still quite innocent, and once George laid out such a grand plan, they were immediately swept up in the excitement.

Almost everyone raised their hands to support George's proposal and clamored to begin preparations as quickly as possible.

Elves and Humans weren't dumb—in fact, they were highly intelligent. But intelligence doesn't necessarily mean you're hard to fool. Later on, they would still be tricked by Sauron and his Rings of Power.

Of course, George wasn't exactly lying. If done properly, things might truly turn out the way he envisioned.

"George, since this is your proposal, you should be the one to name the academy."

In the end, Finrod spoke to George with some excitement.

George thought for a moment:

"Then let's call it Middle-earth Hogwarts Academy!"
