"I can do it!"
"I can make it!"
"I can definitely counter-kill!"
No need to say anything more.
He began self-hypnosis, letting confidence erupt like a fountain.
Where there's confidence, there's the beginning of success.
Lin Fan gripped the knife in his hand tightly and walked toward the Rabbit Demon.
As he gradually approached the Rabbit Demon.
His little heart uncontrollably started to race again.
Painful.
In the storage box.
When they saw Boss fearlessly walking toward the Rabbit Demon, their hearts wept.
To them, Boss's actions deeply shocked their fragile souls.
"Boss, you absolutely can't let anything happen to you," Wang Baoliu prayed while pulling out a meat bun from his coat pocket, taking a ferocious bite. He was so frightened that he could only rely on eating to calm his nerves.
As for Boss's talk of running away.
He definitely wouldn't run.
His legs had already gone numb.
"Dear Rabbit Demon, can you not look at me like that? You're making me a bit anxious," Lin Fan was locked in eye contact with the Rabbit Demon, its red eyes somewhat terrifying.
"You're a rabbit; your personality should be more docile, right? How about we have a proper talk? Maybe we could become unprecedented allies between humans and rabbits. Don't you think so?"
Lin Fan spoke softly and gently, negotiating sincerely with the Rabbit Demon.
He just hoped that during his chatter with the Rabbit Demon.
Zhao Desheng could deal with the four other Demons and then come slay this Rabbit Demon.
As for the loot from those Demons.
He didn't dare imagine.
Being able to kill them would already be impressive.
Dreaming about rewards?
That's wishful thinking.
Grumble!
The Rabbit Demon let out a furious sound, slowly lowering its stance before suddenly dashing toward Lin Fan.
"Damn... so aggressive."
Lin Fan shouted. He had no choice but to brace for impact, hoping he could withstand it.
The Rabbit Demon swung its fist at him.
Explosive power erupted; the transmitted force was tangible.
"Slash!"
He swung his knife down—no way a mere little Demon's claws could be made of iron. With his painstakingly cultivated eleven-year strength, he would clash with it relentlessly.
The Rabbit Demon cracked a smile, seemingly mocking him.
Lin Fan's vision blurred as the Rabbit Demon disappeared, dodging his strike at a bizarre speed. Immediately, the Rabbit Fist struck from the side.
He was caught off guard and took the Rabbit Fist squarely to his face. With a "boom," the immense force hit, throwing him backward.
"That hurts."
"You really hit hard."
Lin Fan felt as if his face was about to split open.
Fortunately, his Innate Divine Ability—Thick Skin and Flesh—activated, absorbing much of the damage. Otherwise, this single blow would have left him lying flat.
"You damn Rabbit Demon, don't push me to go all out." Lin Fan climbed to his feet, wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, and seethed with rage, feeling the urge to explode on the spot. An unfamiliar sensation swept over him.
No mistake.
This was from being beaten. Ever since he peed into a beer bottle and served it to his dad during kindergarten, resulting in three months of hospitalization, he hadn't been beaten again.
Now, a nostalgic fury surged within him, making him both excited and enraged.
The Rabbit Demon lightly ground its teeth with joy and contentment.
Its sharp rows of teeth gleamed menacingly.
Gruesome, terrifying.
The Rabbit Demon balanced on its hind legs, bouncing left and right, swinging its front paws—left hook, right hook.
Watching this scene, Lin Fan felt an itch in his heart.
This damn Rabbit Demon.
Was it treating me like a sparring partner?
Lin Fan focused intently on the Rabbit Demon. Despite his anger, he dared not underestimate his opponent. Otherwise, he'd be dead.
He slowly moved his steps, circling the Rabbit Demon.
He had to find an opening.
The Rabbit Demon continued hopping from side to side, utterly unconcerned even when Lin Fan moved behind it.
Its behavior seemed to say.
Trash.
Come at me.
"It's tough to make a move. My active Cultivation Techniques are lacking, and I have no Sword Skills—just random, unstructured slashing. It's frustrating."
Lin Fan felt his struggles reach a breaking point.
So tough his hair felt like it might turn white.
At this moment.
Lin Fan let out a low roar and charged at the Rabbit Demon.
The Rabbit Demon made a strange sound, as if saying, "Wow, your speed is pathetically slow; you're putting me to sleep here."
And then suddenly.
Lin Fan's speed surged; Wild Boar Charge activated. The Rabbit Demon froze momentarily, seemingly unprepared for how rapid a human's speed could become.
Bam!
Lin Fan smashed into the Rabbit Demon's stomach headfirst. Pain exploded in his skull like hitting a steel plate.
What the hell.
This Rabbit Demon had eight-pack abs, concealed beneath its fur, invisible to the naked eye.
Despite the pain.
He still had to follow through.
The knife in his hand scraped across the ground, then suddenly swung toward the Rabbit Demon.
Though this blade skill was unimpressive, its lethality was undeniable. Once executed, withdrawing wasn't an option.
The Rabbit Demon leaned backward, its expression briefly stunned before curling into a playful grin.
A phantom flashed before his eyes.
The Rabbit Demon grabbed Lin Fan's head, twisted its body midair, and dodged the knife strike.
"What the hell..."
Lin Fan was stunned. This Rabbit Demon was absurdly terrifying.
A mere nine-year difference in cultivation? The disparity was way too extreme.
Suddenly.
Lin Fan realized his feet were off the ground; he'd been suspended into the air.
Grumble!
The Rabbit Demon growled, swinging its arms.
Left hook!
Right hook!
Both fists collided, it took a deep breath; its red eyes flared with brilliance. The fists unleashed another barrage.
Heavenly Rabbit Meteor Fist!
Thud thud thud!
The Rabbit Demon's arms blurred into shadows, a storm of punches hammered onto Lin Fan.
"I'll endure it..."
Lin Fan held his breath, trying to tough it out, but within seconds, he couldn't manage. The Rabbit Demon was overwhelmingly strong, his body twisted under the relentless strikes, as blood sprayed out continuously.
With the final punch.
The Rabbit Demon cracked a smile, leapt into the air, and kicked out with its hind legs, launching Lin Fan away.
One seamless sequence of moves—it was a perfection of rabbit boxing.
Boom!
Lin Fan hit the ground, coughing blood. Damn, it hurt. Even with his Thick Skin and Flesh divine ability, he still couldn't take this kind of punishment; his body felt like it was about to explode.
The Rabbit Demon landed smoothly, bobbing its head left and right, dodging imaginary attacks, throwing left and right hooks, honing its technique.
"Boss..."
Wang Baoliu screamed agonizingly, tears streaming down his face.
His heart ached terribly.
The boss was being beaten, but the pain pierced his own soul.
"Boss, I'll save you." Wang Baoliu roared, his fear scattered. He rummaged in his coat and pulled out a carrot—the last piece of his stash. Even if he died, he wouldn't waste food.
He bit into the carrot.
Crunch, the crisp sound echoed.
The Rabbit Demon's gaze instantly locked onto the carrot in Wang Baoliu's hand, which seemed to emit a dazzling glow in its eyes.
Drool poured down from between its teeth.
Lin Fan saw the Rabbit Demon's reaction, then looked at Wang Baoliu. His heart ran wild with curses—at a time like this, and you're eating?
But none of that mattered now.
"Bao Liu, throw the carrot over here!" Lin Fan shouted.
Wang Baoliu heard his boss's command, hesitated not even for a moment, and decisively tossed the carrot toward Lin Fan.
The Rabbit Demon leapt eagerly toward the carrot.
Smack!
Lin Fan caught the carrot and looked up; the Rabbit Demon was practically upon him. He quickly extended his hand, offering the carrot.
"Here..."
The Rabbit Demon froze midair, dazed, and then grabbed the carrot in its hand.
Thud!
Lin Fan plunged his knife into the Rabbit Demon's stomach, ruthlessly twisting the blade.
The Rabbit Demon raised the carrot to its mouth, took a bite—crunch—then lowered its head contentedly. It stopped breathing and collapsed on top of Lin Fan.
Zhao Desheng had been monitoring Lin Fan's situation.
When he saw Lin Fan on the brink of being beaten to death, he grew anxious.
But now.
Watching this unfold, he couldn't help but comment.
"Are you kidding me?"
This was supposed to be a serious life-and-death battle between humans and Demons.
