"Damn it!" Lynch couldn't help but curse in his heart. Knowing he would meet with the Dark Elf matron today, he prepared many spells specifically against Dark Elves, most notably the "Daylight Brightness Technique," which could temporarily blind them. These were all measures to create an escape route for himself in case the Drow suddenly attacked.
However, the person behind him was clearly human and appeared to be a Martial Monk focused on bodily and spiritual training. Not to mention that the Daylight Brightness Technique would have no effect on him; even if it temporarily blinded him, this monk would surely have a way to detect opponents using other senses when he couldn't see.
In his current state, trying to launch a preemptive attack seemed too hasty for Lynch. So, he waved his magic wand, immediately casting a Power Wall Technique behind him. A transparent, hazy membrane instantly divided the corridor into two sections, separating the mage from the monk.
