Chapter 81 - Chapter 81

"Damn it!" The Raiden Shogun glared at Raiden Ei, her eyes filled with frustration. Just now, the two of them had been arguing over who would stay with Akio tonight.

Although their debating skills were evenly matched, Raiden Ei had clearly come out on top, winning the argument.

This woman in front of her seemed to be gloating and proud! How infuriating!

"Let's go, Shogun," Raiden Makoto gently pulled the Raiden Shogun, who was still glaring at Raiden Ei, and said softly, "You can come back and spend time with Akio tomorrow after Ei returns."

"Right," Raiden Ei nodded, clearly eager for the Raiden Shogun to leave and stop being a nuisance.

In the end, the reluctant Raiden Shogun was dragged away by Raiden Makoto, heading toward Tenshukaku.

"My, my, Ei, I never expected to see you like this," Yae Miko teased Raiden Ei. "Clinging to Akio like that—it's quite surprising."

"Miko, stop teasing me," Raiden Ei said seriously. "If you keep teasing me, I'll give you a slash and turn you into an electric fox."

"Oh no~ I'm so scared~" Yae Miko pretended to be frightened, then snuggled into Akio's arms, pretending to cry. "Akio, look at her~ She's bullying your most beloved little fox~ My fur is so smooth~ If it gets fried, it won't be soft and silky anymore, and it won't feel nice when you touch it."

"It's fine. If you don't have it, I do. Akio can touch mine," Kitsune Saiguu chimed in, undermining Yae Miko.

"Damn you, Saiguu!" Yae Miko glared at her. This woman always loved to ruin her moments! Fine, I'll leave 80% of the shrine's affairs for you to handle!

Yae Miko could tease many people, but Kitsune Saiguu was her most respected senior, so she usually didn't tease her. Yet, it was always Kitsune Saiguu who managed to break her composure!

"Alright, you're all my wings!" Akio said with a mischievous grin.

"Hmph!" Yae Miko gently bit Akio's Adam's apple, then got up and said, "Akio, you're such a pervert."

"Thanks for the compliment," Akio replied with a smile.

"You're such a naughty man," Yae Miko gave Akio a playful glare and walked over to sit under the Sacred Sakura.

Watching this scene, Akio suddenly realized something. Wasn't there a plot hole in the original story?

Didn't Yae Miko give the Electro Gnosis to Scaramouche? Later, Scaramouche erased himself from the Irminsul, and everyone lost their memories of him. So, wouldn't Yae Miko sit under the Sacred Sakura for a whole day, smoking, and still not remember who she gave the Electro Gnosis to?

"What are you thinking about? You're smiling so happily," Raiden Ei asked curiously.

"Nothing, just something funny," Akio chuckled and waved his hand dismissively.

"Alright," Raiden Ei nodded. She wasn't particularly curious about it and instead sat down on the lounge chair next to Akio, basking in the sun just as comfortably as he was.

After letting go of all her burdens, Raiden Ei felt much lighter, no longer suffocating under the weight of so much pressure.

Holding Akio's hand, she closed her eyes and felt the warmth of the sunlight. Ever since she had secluded herself in the Plane of Euthymia, she had never felt such warmth again.

The afternoon passed by quickly, and just as Akio was dozing off, he suddenly heard someone calling him.

"Huh?" Akio opened his eyes and looked over.

"Oh? Ayaka, what brings you here?" Akio sat up from the lounge chair, stretched, and glanced at the sleeping Raiden Ei beside him. He couldn't help but marvel—even gods could sleep so soundly? It seemed the pressure from before had really been overwhelming.

Kitsune Saiguu and Yae Miko, in their fox forms, were lazily sunbathing at the top of the Sacred Sakura.

"Wait a moment, Ayaka," Akio said softly.

Kamisato Ayaka nodded, and to her surprise, Akio picked up Raiden Ei and carried her into the house.

"Akio?" The moment Akio touched her, Raiden Ei opened her eyes. Seeing it was Akio, she relaxed.

"Go rest properly in the room," Akio said, gently kissing her lips. "Ayaka needs to talk to me about something. Oh, and from now on, Ayaka will be your sister too."

"Mmm," Raiden Ei didn't mind. In her view, if many people loved someone, why shouldn't that person accept them all?

After placing Raiden Ei on his bed, Akio walked out and looked at Kamisato Ayaka. "Ayaka."

Kamisato Ayaka walked over, and Akio could smell the faint fragrance of the young girl. He pulled her into his arms and gave her a long kiss.

Even though they were together, the young girl still blushed at such intimate gestures from her lover.

"Ayaka, why did you come at this time?" Akio asked curiously after letting her go.

"Mmm~" Kamisato Ayaka rubbed her cheeks and said, "Lord Akio, I came to tell you something."

"Do you have any plans tomorrow afternoon and evening?"

"Tomorrow afternoon and evening?" Akio thought for a moment and shook his head. "No, I'm free."

"That's great, hehe," Kamisato Ayaka smiled. "Then, could you go to Byakko Plain tomorrow afternoon?"

"Sure, of course. Is there something going on?" Akio nodded and asked.

"Actually, it's Yoimiya. She's prepared a romantic confession for you," Kamisato Ayaka said with a smile. "She's just too shy to say it herself, so she asked me to tell you."

"Really?" Akio's eyes lit up with surprise. He had actually been planning to talk to Yoimiya in the next couple of days to figure out her feelings.

"My, my, it seems little Yoimiya has made up her mind," Yae Miko jumped down from the tree and nestled into Akio's arms.

"Miko-sama," Kamisato Ayaka greeted. She had seen Yae Miko in her fox form many times by now and wasn't surprised.

"Miko, you knew about this?" Akio looked at the pink fox in his arms, surprised.

"Of course, what did you think the surprise I mentioned was?" Yae Miko nodded.

"Honestly, you're a god! You can love so many people! Why are you so hesitant with that little girl Yoimiya?" Yae Miko complained. "My god didn't dare to make the first move, so his most obedient little fox had to step in."

"You and Yoimiya are such a perfect match," Yae Miko said. "You were afraid Yoimiya only saw you as a friend and didn't dare to clarify things. Yoimiya was afraid you'd look down on her for being a mortal and didn't dare to speak up. You two are really…"

Kamisato Ayaka nodded in agreement with Yae Miko's words.
