Chapter 250 - Chapter 250: Plans

Hearing this, Rudeus made a bitter face and couldn't find the words.

Roa patted Rudeus on the shoulder, looking encouraging.

"I'm not that amazing," Rudeus muttered quietly, but Roa, with his keen ears, heard him. Roa shrugged at Rudeus's self-deprecating view.

After thinking for a moment, Roa decided it was better to be straightforward.

"Rudeus, actually, you are very talented," Roa comforted him.

Presenting facts and examples, Roa spoke directly with data.

"Rudeus, think about it. How many people on this continent can become high-level magicians? Probably not even five out of ten, right? And how many can become saint-level magicians, especially at your age, reaching such a level of magic?"

Rudeus pouted, secretly complaining: Compared to you, what can I even be considered?

Seeing Rudeus's defiant expression, Roa frowned slightly.

The foolish little guy was also going through a rebellious phase. Roa adopted a big brother's authority and said directly, "In any case, you must learn the Breath of the Sun. You wouldn't want to be constantly grabbed by Eris and beaten, would you?"

Although even after learning it, he might still get grabbed and beaten.

Roa silently added in his mind.

Upon hearing this, Rudeus's face showed indignation, and he exclaimed, "Brother Roa, you should talk to Eris! Look at her, her temper in the future is definitely going to be terrible."

Roa looked at Rudeus expressionlessly, as if the beads of calculation were about to burst on his face.

"In any case, you need to work hard," Roa said.

Roa did not leave immediately for the Holy Land of Swords. The task was not that simple. To ensure Rudeus could memorize the Breath of the Sun completely, Roa stayed for three more days.

In the mornings, he practiced swordsmanship with everyone; in the afternoons, he guided everyone in sword training; in the evenings, he drew diagrams and studied magic, while also telling a few stories to Eris.

During his free time, Roa hand-drew the Breath of the Sun, clearly noting where to pay attention and how to perform the movements. Although there were only twelve techniques, Roa ended up with nearly thirty pages of notes.

The diagrams only showed the key movements, accompanied by text to guide everyone in their training.

Although Roa prepared this for Rudeus, in fact, if Eris wanted to learn, she could also take it and study.

The Breath of the Sun and the breathing techniques were complementary, and Roa taught both to Rudeus.

Mastery was certainly out of reach, and even getting started was a hurdle, but with this manual to practice, he would still be able to achieve some level of proficiency.

Achieving a minor success was not a problem. With the support of the Breath of the Sun, even if he faced a swordsman of the higher Sword God style, Rudeus would still be able to hold his ground.

Not to mention counterattacking, at the very least, he wouldn't be instantly killed.

Roa also did not expect Rudeus to reach the level of Sword King just by relying on the Breath of the Sun.

Rudeus's talent was evident; with such a good magical talent, there was no need to pursue the path of a swordsman. The reason for teaching Rudeus some sword techniques was still to avoid being taken down by some small fry.

After finishing copying the manual, Roa's mischievous side emerged. Remembering the "Eighteen Dragon-Subduing Palms" from novels he had read before, he pondered for a moment and decided to tell Rudeus that the Breath of the Sun actually had thirteen forms, all included in this manual, preparing to be a riddle master.

The process of creating the manual was not complicated; these things came easily to Roa. In comparison, the time spent on his version of the Brothers Grimm spirit tales was even longer.

Eris really liked the stories in it. After thinking for a while, Roa decided to keep these stories for Eris to read.

As for whether Rudeus would figure anything out from them, Roa felt it didn't matter.

Even if he knew about Roa's identity as a transmigrator, it wouldn't be a big deal.

Are you only allowed to be a transmigrator, while others can't be?

Moreover, aside from the identity of a transmigrator, everyone is family; they wouldn't part ways over such matters. Rudeus might be surprised and perhaps have some realizations, but everyone would tacitly skip over it.

The identity was given in the past; the present is the present, the past is the past, and the previous life is the previous life.

At least in this world, Roa is Rudeus's brother. If Rudeus encounters trouble, Roa will help.

Similarly, if Roa encounters trouble, Rudeus will also do his best to help Roa out of the predicament, although by that time, the problem might be beyond Rudeus's ability to solve.

But the general meaning is just that.

Roa need not worry too much about hiding his identity as a transmigrator.

The length of the stories was much greater than that of the Breath of the Sun, and Roa did not copy them verbatim; he secretly added some of his own elements.

The general direction of the story changed somewhat. After finishing the spirit tale-like Brothers Grimm, Roa, feeling unsatisfied, simply started another book.

This one was a modified version of the Brothers Grimm spirit tales, with a complex plot and more intricate character relationships. The story was similar to the previous one, but upon careful reading, one could discern other meanings from it.

Due to the needs of the plot, Roa incorporated a large number of riddle master elements.

Because it was too absurd, after finishing the writing, Roa shook his head and set the book aside.

After thinking for a moment, he placed this book in a drawer, leaving the Brothers Grimm for Eris, while Roa's spirit tales would remain in the drawer.

As night fell, Eris, as usual, walked into Roa's room.

Roa couldn't tell if it was just his imagination, but he felt that the little girl in front of him had grown taller again.

The red silk nightgown shimmered under the light, and Eris directly climbed onto Roa's lap.

Roa helplessly picked up the girl. The girl, as always, looked at Roa with her fiery red eyes, like rubies.

Roa handed the book he had just prepared to Eris, smiling as he said, "Eris, you should be able to read most of the words now."

This time, Eris did not shy away from his gaze. The girl nodded earnestly, her proud expression unhidden.

"I can already read the simple texts in the book!"

Roa smiled and nodded, saying, "Then this book is for you. The stories I've told you are all in there, and the ones I haven't told you are also written in it."

Upon hearing this, Eris's face lit up with surprise, and she excitedly hugged the book, a happy smile spreading across her face.

However, the joy did not last long. After a moment of thought, Roa spoke up, "Um, Eris, I might have to go on a long trip. This time, it might take a bit longer."

In an instant, Eris felt that the story in her hands had lost its charm, and a look of shock appeared on her face.

"Weren't you just back? It's only been a few days!" Eris's smile vanished.

The joy came quickly and left just as fast. Looking at the book she was holding, Eris's face showed disappointment and frustration.

Roa helplessly rubbed Eris's head and said, "My strength isn't strong enough yet, but I can't learn anything more here."

Disappointment was evident. The last time he left, Eris was sad for quite a while, and this time, leaving again made her feel even more upset.

Eris bit her lip and shouted at Roa, "Roa, I want to go with you!"

Roa was taken aback, then smiled and shook his head, explaining, "Eris, listen, going at this time won't be beneficial for you. Your immediate priority is to learn swordsmanship from Teacher Ghislaine. She is a very good teacher."

Eris thought for a moment and then spoke again, "Then just bring Ghislaine along! Let her teach me over there."

Roa was about to shake his head and say that it was impossible, but after thinking carefully, he realized, huh.

It actually seems feasible.

In an instant, Roa's brows furrowed as he fell into thought.

Should he take Eris with him?

Ghislaine is a Sword King, and after all, she is a disciple of the Sword God. With that connection, many things would become easier to resolve.

Although Ghislaine said she could report her name when going to the Holy Land of Swords, reporting a name is different from being led by Ghislaine; the treatment would certainly be different.

Roa silently pondered, weighing the pros and cons.

Ghislaine is undoubtedly a qualified teacher, and Eris indeed has not reached the level to receive the Sword God's guidance.

It's like a high school teacher teaching a first-grade student; jumping to a university professor teaching a first-grade student, the content taught is the same. It's not that a higher degree is necessarily better; Eris is not at that level, and the knowledge she can learn would only be basic sword techniques.

Of course, doing this is not without benefits.

Roa looked at Eris again and asked, "Eris, do you really want to go?"

Eris nodded seriously.

Roa sighed. He didn't know if letting Eris come into contact with the old Sword God too early was a good thing.

After thinking for a long time, he felt that having something was better than having nothing.

In fact, compared to Roa and Rudeus, Eris was the one who needed strength the most.

If the transfer incident had the greatest impact on anyone, it was undoubtedly Eris.

The entire family was exiled and executed, leaving almost no one behind. Eris went from a wealthy young lady to a wandering little wildcat.

Roa also found the transfer incident somewhat tricky.

If it really couldn't be resolved, Roa would have to take the whole family and migrate.

At worst, they could retreat to another country to spend that time.

But what about Eris? Could Eris's family leave?

Paul is a minor noble in a territory; even if everyone in the territory disappears, he wouldn't be held accountable.

But Eris is different. While enjoying the privileges of nobility, their family is also being watched by a large group of people.

Nobles are far greedier and dirtier than they imagine, especially in this world where people eat people.

They are just waiting for an opportunity; they don't need a reason.

If the Fittoa territory could remain safe and sound, those nobles would only watch like wolves, looking for opportunities to act.

But unfortunately, this incident happened, and such a thing could deal a devastating blow to Eris's family.

Eris needs to become stronger, strong enough that the entire nobility would think twice about what consequences the Greyrat family would face.

One Eris is not enough; even Sword King Ghislaine cannot make those greedy wolves back off.

Eris needs to become stronger, strong enough to deal with those wolves.

Then, she must at least become a Sword King.

Even if she can't become a Sword King, she needs to have a status comparable to that of a Sword King.

Being a disciple of a Sword King is not enough to make those nobles retract their claws, but what if she is a direct disciple of the Sword God?

That nature would change; the Sword God of the Seven Great Powers has the power to tear up treaties and directly overturn tables.

Even a massive country like Asura would have to weigh the implications.

Roa, as a transmigrator, doesn't know much about the future plot, but based on the current information, it would be best for Eris to recognize that cheap master.

No matter how you look at it, it would be beneficial for her.

Roa finally nodded, and under Eris's incredulous gaze, he agreed.

"Okay, I can take you with me," Roa said.

Eris was stunned for a moment, then joy filled her face.

But after the joy, a look of hesitation appeared on her face.

"Will my father let me go?" Eris asked nervously.

Roa glanced at Eris and nodded, saying, "You don't need to worry about that. I'll help you persuade your parents."

The girl's sadness came quickly and left just as fast. She soon cast those thoughts aside and began to snuggle up to Roa.

The next morning, Roa opened his eyes on time, looking at the dim sky outside the window.

Just like before, Roa got out of bed, put on his shoes, and washed up. The water element was generated and gathered in the cup.

After washing his face and drying it with a towel, Roa felt ready and headed out.

Roa went downstairs, turned left, and made his way to the living room.

Philip had not gotten up. Even as a noble, he usually wouldn't rise so early, even if he wasn't excessively indulgent.

Sitting on the sofa, Roa glanced at a catgirl maid who was yawning and walking over. Roa waved his hand, signaling her to come closer.

"Meow?" The catgirl maid approached with a puzzled expression, her eyes somewhat dazed, seemingly not understanding what this guy, whom she had barely met, wanted.

However, given his demeanor and handsome appearance, it was clear he was not someone an ordinary person could easily approach.

Moreover, with such a handsome boy, it wouldn't be a loss for her.

Closing her eyes, She decided to ignore it.

The girl slightly leaned forward, revealing two plump white mounds on her chest, her cat ears perked up, and her tail raised, presenting herself as if inviting to be picked.

Roa: …

The corners of Roa's mouth twitched. He really wanted to open the catgirl maid's head and see what she was thinking.

It turned out that the noble world was too absurd. Roa sighed, feeling out of place because he was too much of a gentleman.

Finding another virtue in himself, he felt satisfied, lightly coughed, reached out to pat the maid, and teased, "Just brew me a cup of tea; I don't need that kind of service."

The maid bowed her head in disappointment and nodded, replying, "Yes, Master."
