Chapter 128 - Cold-blooded murder

Tania blinked away her tears, determination hardening her expression. She wasn't going to leave—not now, not until she completed what she had set out to do. Though she wouldn't reveal her true plans to him.

"Alright," she nodded slowly, pushing herself to her feet. "Let's go."

Enzo, relieved by her response, pulled her into his arms. "I promise I'll make you happy. You'll forget all of this in time."

Tania didn't respond, nor did she hug him back. She stood motionless in his arms, her eyes empty and distant.

He released her after a while, taking her hand instead. "Come on. Let's leave this place together."

Tania pulled her hand away from his grasp. "You go on ahead and wait for me in the car. I need a moment with my parents."

Enzo didn't stop her. He simply nodded. "Alright, but don't take too long." He turned and walked away.
