Chapter 21 - Chapter 21: Public Announcement

"Dad! Drive faster!"

Rio's impatient voice echoed through the small floating car as it zoomed carefully through the busy air lanes.

In the driver's seat, his father, a middle-aged man with ruffled brown hair and a tired smile, gripped the steering wheel tightly, trying to keep the car steady.

"I'm trying, Rio! There's traffic everywhere — and besides, this is the speed limit! I can't go any faster!" he replied, glancing at his son through the rearview mirror.

Rio huffed loudly, crossing his arms.

"I told you we should've left earlier, but you didn't listen!" he said with a pout.

His father sighed, pressing a few buttons on the dashboard to try and find a faster route, but it was no use.

"I get it, alright? It's my fault. But even if we're a few minutes late, it's not the end of the world!" he said, chuckling nervously.

Rio didn't look convinced.

Still bickering with each other, they finally reached their house, a cozy two-story home tucked between rows of green fields and floating pathways.

Before the car even fully landed on the magnetic pad, Rio had already flung the door open and bolted toward the front door.

His father barely had time to lock the car before he was racing after him.

Inside the house, they both threw their shoes off at the entrance and sprinted toward the living room.

Rio jumped onto the couch first, grabbing the controller for the big holographic screen. His father flopped down beside him, a little out of breath.

Rio's fingers moved quickly across the virtual menu.

In just a few seconds, he opened the official page of Vault Studios.

"It's almost here... just one minute left!" Rio said excitedly, bouncing slightly on the couch.

His father smiled at him, catching his breath.

"See? We made it just in time," he said proudly.

The clock on the screen ticked down —

5... 4... 3... 2... 1...

The page refreshed automatically, and a new icon appeared with a small sparkling effect.

"It's here! The new episodes!" Rio shouted, almost throwing the controller in his excitement.

He didn't waste a second before pressing play.

The large holographic screen lit up, and the familiar bright colors of Doraemon filled the room.

In an instant, the living room was filled with the sounds of laughter, music, and the cheerful voices of Nobita, Doraemon, and their friends.

Rio giggled, kicking his legs happily as he watched.

His father, although trying to look serious, was grinning just as much.

For the next twenty minutes, nothing else in the world existed for them.

Just the simple happiness of watching their favorite characters go on silly adventures.

But like all good things, it ended quicker than they wished.

As the ending credits rolled, Rio slumped back into the couch.

"It's done already? I wanna watch more..." he said, his face falling into a pout.

His father ruffled Rio's messy hair affectionately.

"Come on, buddy. You can watch more next week," he said with a chuckle, though his own heart felt a little empty too.

He wasn't about to admit it, but he had been looking forward to these episodes all week himself.

Just then —

A notification flashed across the top of the screen.

"Huh? It's from Vault Studios," Rio's father said aloud.

"Maybe it's a surprise episode?" Rio asked, his eyes lighting up with hope.

Quickly, his father opened the notification.

But as they read the message, both of their smiles slowly faded.

It wasn't a new episode.

Instead, it was a notice:

> "Doraemon will be going on a short break. Vault Studios is preparing a new project coming soon."

Rio's shoulders sagged, and his eyes started to tear up.

"But I want Doraemon, not something else..." he mumbled, trying to hide his face.

His father pulled him into a hug.

"It's alright, Rio. We'll wait together. And who knows? Maybe the new project will be just as amazing," he said softly.

Rio sniffled but nodded, trusting his father's words.

---

Scenes like this were playing out across the universe.

Children, teenagers, adults — even old folks who secretly watched Doraemon on their breaks — all had the same mix of disappointment and curiosity.

What was Vault Studios planning?

---

Meanwhile, back inside the massive FAMD Headquarters, in one of the studio's private spaces, I was working hard with Torin Zane by my side.

On another side of the studio, Diana and Eden were deep into their work as well, polishing character designs and setting up key frames for the new animation.

This project wasn't simple like Doraemon.

It needed more precision, more detail.

And naturally, it was taking time for all of us to adjust.

Still, the energy in the room was high.

We were making something new.

Something beautiful.

As I adjusted some notes on the holographic screen, I heard quick footsteps approaching.

Diana.

"Boss! Boss!" she called out, her voice full of excitement and curiosity.

I turned around, raising an eyebrow.

"What's up, Diana?"

She stood there, bouncing slightly on her heels, Eden trailing behind her quietly.

"You still haven't told us the name of this project yet!" she said, almost pouting now.

"Come on, boss, tell us already!"

I chuckled.

Eden nodded seriously beside her, clearly wanting to know as well.

Even Torin looked at me, raising an eyebrow with a playful smile.

I let the suspense hang in the air for a moment, pretending to think very hard.

Finally, I spoke.

"The name of the movie is..." I said slowly, dragging it out.

They all leaned in, eager.

I smirked.

"Your Name."

For a moment, silence.

Diana blinked a few times, her face blank.

Then she opened her mouth and said—

"Huh? The movie's called Diana?!"

Both Eden and Torin nearly fell off their chairs.

I stared at her, stunned for a second, then burst out laughing.

"Diana," I said between laughs, "the movie is called Your Name! Not Diana!"

Her cheeks flushed pink as she realized her mistake.

"Oooohhh..." she said, making a small 'o' shape with her mouth and slapping her forehead lightly.

"I get it now."

Torin chuckled warmly.

"Working with you kids is going to be a lot of fun," he said, shaking his head with a smile.

The nervousness everyone had about working with a legend like Torin Zane was slowly fading away.

He wasn't acting like a superstar.

He was just another member of the team — laughing, joking, and working alongside us.

And honestly...

I wouldn't have it any other way.

We had a lot of work ahead.

But for the first time in a while, the future didn't feel scary.

It felt exciting.

Really, really exciting.

A/N: Another chapter today, cause i didn't like the last one. Anyway I hope you enjoy and leave me lots of Power Stones.
