Soul Society, First Division Barracks
Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto stood by the window, silently observing the scenery outside.
"Captain-Commander, the delegation from the Royal Guard has arrived," Chōjirō Sasakibe approached Yamamoto and whispered respectfully.
Hearing Sasakibe's words, Yamamoto gave a small nod before slowly turning around.
His gaze settled on Kyōraku Shunsui, who stood nearby. With a deep voice, he addressed him, "Shunsui, you're here."
Kyōraku Shunsui gave a respectful bow and spoke seriously, "Captain-Commander, we have received word from the World of the Living stating that Aaron will not interfere with our movements within the Soul Society. However…"
Yamamoto observed Kyōraku carefully, noticing something unusual in his demeanor. After a brief pause, he asked, "Shunsui, is there something else you've discovered?"
Kyōraku's expression darkened slightly as he continued, "Yes, and it concerns Aaron…
If it weren't for our investigation into Aizen's access records, we might never have made this discovery."
Sasakibe, standing to the side, glanced at Kyōraku with a hint of curiosity in his eyes.
"Speak," Yamamoto commanded.
Clearing his throat, Kyōraku began his report.
"A thousand years ago, there was a great war between the Shinigami and the Quincy. Yhwach, the Quincy King, was ultimately defeated in battle against you, and his whereabouts became unknown.
At the time, the Gotei 13 unanimously agreed that due to the 'Extermination Seal' you placed upon him, Yhwach would not have survived, even if he had managed to escape.
However, a few days later, Yhwach's body inexplicably appeared on the outskirts of the Zaraki District in North Rukongai.
According to Captain Sasakibe's report from back then, while Yhwach was gravely wounded and near death from the seal, his body also bore over a dozen mysterious stab wounds that appeared to have manifested from nowhere."
Yamamoto's eyes opened slightly, and he looked at Kyōraku with a sharp gaze. "I am aware of all of this. How does it relate to Aaron?"
After a brief silence, Kyōraku continued, "What follows is just my own speculation, but I believe it is necessary to report.
The earliest recorded mention of Aaron in the Grand Spirit Archive dates back to just days after Yhwach's death.
At that time, he killed thirteen violent criminals in the Zaraki District in a single battle.
Given that the war with the Quincy had only just ended, we had little time to concern ourselves with minor disturbances in Rukongai.
Additionally, Zaraki District is the most lawless and impoverished sector of Rukongai, and few bother to investigate what happens there.
However, from that moment on, every official record of Aaron is tied to combat.
A survey conducted at the time indicated that before Yhwach's body was found, Aaron was just another weak resident of Zaraki District.
This suggests he may have some special connection to Yhwach's death.
Furthermore, his rapid growth in power might also be linked to that event."
Upon hearing Kyōraku's analysis, Sasakibe gave a slight nod and turned to look at Yamamoto.
Both he and Kyōraku now bore solemn expressions.
After a long silence, Yamamoto let out a faint sigh and spoke gravely, "I understand your concern. However, with his current abilities…"
He trailed off, slowly turning back to the window, where he stood motionless for a long time.
A heavy atmosphere settled over the office.
Kyōraku and Sasakibe understood the implications behind Yamamoto's words and couldn't help but recall the fierce battle from several months prior.
"Since Aizen is investigating him," Sasakibe murmured after some thought, "it at least proves that the two have no interest in cooperating. Perhaps it would be best to let them fight each other. That way, we might avoid unnecessary trouble."
Yamamoto's voice was low as he replied, "Do not worry. He holds no ill will toward the Soul Society…
His true goal lies beyond our understanding."
Kyōraku nodded, gazing at the old warrior standing by the window, his mind filled with complex emotions.
Karakura Town
Upon returning home, Aaron instinctively used his heightened senses to check on Yoruichi and Orihime.
Feeling their conditions improving, he retired to his room for rest.
With their natural resilience, it wouldn't take them long to recover.
The next morning, Aaron woke early, intending to take a walk.
A sudden clatter from the kitchen caught his attention.
Moments later, Yoruichi and Orihime emerged, carrying breakfast.
"Sensei, I made red bean bread!" Orihime announced, her tone slightly bashful but earnest.
Yoruichi, usually carefree, was uncharacteristically silent as she placed the food on the table, stealing a quick glance at Aaron.
Aaron gave a small nod and smiled. "Good morning. It looks like you're both recovering well. This breakfast looks delicious—thank you."
"It's us who should be thanking you," Orihime said before sitting down to eat.
After finishing breakfast, Aaron grabbed his briefcase, preparing to leave for work.
Just as he and Orihime were about to step outside, Yoruichi called out softly, "Sensei… I troubled you yesterday."
She hesitated before continuing in a quieter voice, "You and Orihime go on ahead. I'll rest a little longer before heading out."
A faint blush dusted her cheeks as she quickly turned away, disappearing into the kitchen.
Aaron observed the scene silently before closing the door and setting off for school with Orihime.
As they walked, Orihime tugged lightly at his sleeve and whispered, "Sensei, look at those twins over there.
I don't think I've ever seen them at school before… Something about them feels off."
Not far away, two identical students in school uniforms entered the school side by side.
Aaron watched their retreating figures, a faint smile forming at the corner of his lips.
