Chapter 84 - Chapter 84 : Jiraiya Speculation

Obito's direct declaration of war left everyone present in a state of confusion.

Ohnoki watched as Obito departed and took the initiative to ask, "So, what should we do next?"

Gaara responded, "Our only option is to form a Shinobi Alliance to stand against the power of the seven captured Tailed Beasts."

Mei Terumi added, "Lord Raikage was just against this idea."

Raikage exhaled sharply before responding, "My brother seems to be fine, and I refuse to be manipulated by the Akatsuki any longer. Let's form an alliance and end this once and for all."

Ohnoki then turned his attention to Tsunade. "Hokage, what do you say about the Nine-Tails? It seems clear that Akatsuki's next targets are the Eight-Tails and Nine-Tails."

Tsunade straightened her posture and declared, "Konoha will use all its strength to bring Naruto back to the village and protect him!"

C, one of the Raikage's aides, urgently spoke up. "In that case, Lord Raikage, we should organize a search for Lord Bee as soon as possible."

Raikage nodded. "C, assemble a search team immediately. I want every possible lead on Bee."

"Understood!" C acknowledged.

Darui added, "We should also inform Team Samui. Both Karui and Omoi must be feeling uneasy about this."

Mei Terumi suggested, "To stop Madara's Eye of the Moon Plan, the Eight-Tails and Nine-Tails must be protected at all costs. We need to locate and conceal them."

Chōjūrō, standing beside his Mizukage, supported her decision. "Yes, if Ten-Tails really gets revived..."

Ohnoki pondered aloud, "No! The power Madara now wields from the seven captured Tailed Beasts is unimaginable. He could use their chakra for devastating jutsu or other unknown techniques."

Akatsuchi added, "Otherwise, he wouldn't have been so bold as to challenge all five villages simultaneously."

Ohnoki continued, "Therefore, in our alliance, the Eight-Tails and Nine-Tails should be treated as valuable assets. However, the real issue now is that the Nine-Tails is out of our control, and Akatsuki seems determined to capture him."

Gaara immediately rejected that idea. "That won't work. This war is meant to protect those two, not exploit them.

The reason Madara started this war by gathering the seven Tailed Beasts is likely because, in his current weakened state, neither he nor the remaining Akatsuki members could capture the Eight-Tails and Nine-Tails on their own. Otherwise, he would have attacked Konoha and taken Naruto himself!

Madara is using war and political pressure to lure them out. Allowing the Eight-Tails and Nine-Tails to fight openly is exactly what he wants."

Mei Terumi nodded in agreement. "I think so too."

Surprisingly, Raikage agreed as well. "I support the Kazekage's stance. If nothing else, keeping the Eight-Tails and Nine-Tails hidden prevents the battlefield from becoming even more chaotic. My brother's unpredictability when using the Eight-Tails makes it dangerous."

Tsunade agreed, "Moreover, Naruto's current condition is uncertain. Even if we find him, we don't know whether involving him in battle will help or worsen the situation. I support the decision to detain and protect both Jinchūriki."

Seeing the consensus among the Kage, Ohnoki conceded, "Alright, since everyone agrees, we will proceed as such."

Raikage then stated, "I will share all information about my brother with Iwagakure, Kirigakure, Sunagakure, and Konoha. The moment you find him, report back to me immediately. I'm the only one he'll listen to."

Gaara then turned to Tsunade. "And what about Naruto, Hokage?"

Tsunade hesitated and then turned to Jiraiya.

Jiraiya had been silent, deep in thought since Obito's speech, recalling something Naruto had said before he left.

"The will of a god...

A being with supreme power, standing above all others..."

Hearing Madara's words earlier, Jiraiya now found Naruto's past statements less absurd.

He frowned, remembering how Naruto once told him that explaining his actions would be pointless—because no one would believe him.

Jiraiya's thoughts shifted to Madara himself. He realized that Naruto, much like Madara, had fully embraced his own beliefs and understanding of the world. But unlike Madara, Naruto still claimed he hadn't changed—that he was still the same Naruto, aiming to become Hokage and protect everyone.

And yet, he was gathering power.

Madara sought to cast the world into an eternal Genjutsu, removing all pain.

But what about Naruto?

Why was he gathering so much power?

Then, it clicked.

If Naruto truly hadn't changed, if he still cared for his friends and sought to protect the people he loved—

Then he was gathering power to protect everyone from something even worse than Madara.

Something no one else had yet seen.

Something only Naruto was aware of.

That's why he refused to explain himself—because if he did, it would sound ridiculous to everyone else.

The more Jiraiya thought about it, the more convinced he became.

"Jiraiya! Jiraiya!"

Tsunade's voice snapped him out of his thoughts.

"Huh? What?" Jiraiya blinked.

Tsunade sighed. "Everyone has agreed to locate and protect the Eight-Tails and Nine-Tails. Naruto may need your help."

Jiraiya glanced at the gathered Kage. "No problem. I'll provide information on Naruto and the Nine-Tails. We'll find him together."

"No need to search, sensei. I'm already here."

The moment those words echoed, everyone turned in shock.

From the shadows of the forest, step by step, Naruto emerged.

His golden hair gleamed under the light, his piercing blue eyes scanning the assembled leaders. A heavy silence fell over the group as the tension in the air grew unbearable.
