It was now Malrik's turn and he took his javelin and was ready to throw. He stared intently onto the field and charged up his lumin surging inside of him. He muttred, "Dark arts"
before a black-purple aura enveloped his javelin. Mr. Bolt already knew that this would be a spectacle so he couldn't stop staring at him in awe, waiting until Malrik would throw it.
"Shadow ball".
With that Malrik had fully encapsulated the javelin in a ball of dark lumin and he threw that thing hard. It was easily the best looking throw, shattering no one's expectations as he is one of the best
students at our school.
"Hmph, that might be my personal best."
Then he wandered off with a light smile
nonchalantly, hands in pocket. When he went to sit down at the stands he felt two arms around him and that could only mean one thing.
"Mali-pou you were amazing!!!!!" Catherine had embraced him without his consent.
"That throw was just the bomb, I thought I was gonna explode when I saw it, please show me again some other time again okay baby?"
She totally had no interpretation of personal space. Malrik always ignored her when she did stuff like this with his usual "I don't care" expression on his face.
"It's your turn now Josh come on up."
When he said that it was like I could not breathe, I almost always came last but I really didn't want to do that again but now it was time. I stepped up on the field knowing full well how this was gonna go. Well, this was it, time to go.
But then a loud zap sound was heard in the distance.
"The hell was that?" Reiji said confused and he stood up and looked in the direction of the noise.
"Ahhh! What's happening, what do we do?".
Mako seemed really scared and hid behind Theina, who is was her best friend.
Then a man appeared , slim built with black glasses. His upright posture and serious look meant that he had to be trouble.
"Where is he?"
The man asked and in that instance his henchmen stepped in the arena with proud smirkes across their entire faces.
"Damn boss really sent us to beat up some kids?"
"Yea , that dude really is desperate for him".
They were apparently looking for a certain person, a special one.
That could never be me , I mean I am the guy that hasn't had an awakening yet, what could I do. I saw my peers fleeing the scene in search of answers to ease their confusion. Everywhere was a mess , fortunately only our class was in Challengers Arena but that was enough to cause chaos. Everyone was disoriented and I went to try to look for Malrik. I don't know where he went but I first tried searching for him in the stands and then on the pitch but he was nowhere to be found.
Reiji and Rintarou had just realized the situation they were in and did something unheard of. They went straight into the battlefield without anyone's allowance. Luckily, Mr. Bolt saw what was going on and was going to save them but unluckily they had got the attention from the bad guys.
"Oh, hey, two of them are brave enough to stand up against us," said the dude on the left.
"We will beat their asses dont worry, they have a fat chance of winning" replied the one on the right
And like that, it was a 3 v 2.
I watched in confusion on why these goofballs would even try standing up against them.
"Bring it, punks!"
"Yeah we'll beat'cha ass" Reiji and Rintarou taunted them and thought it was a good idea, are they actually stupid?
"Oh well " The left one said while enveloping the stadium in a black shroud.
"Shit, we are in trouble, hey I cant see a thing" said Reiji sounding annoyed as hell.
"Arghhh!" A loud noise was heard in the distance, it sounded like their teacher Mr. Bolt.
Reiji and Rintarou scanned the area but couldn't sense the two criminals.
"Hey! Reiji the hell are you!" Rintarou shouted. "I don't know kay!" he replied. Josh watched from a distance as he saw this all unravel, and he just knew he had to step in but first he needed to find Malrik and the rest first because what was he supposed to do?
