Bo Saixi listened to Qian Daoliu and Tang Chen's repeated confirmations. Their words matched her recent experiences, and she couldn't help but believe them.
"How could this happen? I'm already so old," Bo Saixi closed her eyes and took a deep breath.
Tang Chen and Qian Daoliu, having weathered countless storms in their lives, could tell that Bo Saixi wasn't exactly happy about the news of her pregnancy. However, they exchanged a glance and chose not to comment further.
"Since we're not fighting anymore, please return to your companions. Do not tell anyone about this, including my people and yours," Bo Saixi finally opened her eyes and spoke with a hint of pleading in her tone.
"Fine. It seems my trip was for nothing," Tang Chen nodded, his tone tinged with disappointment. After all, his chance to spar with Bo Saixi had been ruined.
"Old Tang, think of it as a vacation. The scenery here on Sea God Island is quite beautiful, much better than your desolate mountain," Qian Daoliu patted Tang Chen's shoulder to comfort him, then turned to Bo Saixi. "Sea God Douluo, I hope you don't mind if we stay on the island for a few days to rest."
"Very well. As long as you keep my condition a secret, you may stay for a few days," Bo Saixi agreed. She could tell that both men were honorable and trustworthy.
After all, those who reached the level of Supreme Douluo were individuals of strong will and integrity. If they had wanted to cause trouble, they could have easily wreaked havoc upon arriving. Instead, they chose not to take advantage of her vulnerable state.
"I suppose that's all we can do. Perhaps I'll return another time to seek your guidance, Sea God Douluo," Tang Chen sighed.
The three of them returned to where Lin Yongming and the others were waiting. Naturally, Lin Yongming couldn't hear their conversation.
"High Priest, what happened? Did we win?" Sea Dragon Douluo asked Bo Saixi.
"It was a draw. We've reached an agreement, and they won't cause any trouble on the island."
"Sea Horse, it's getting late. These visitors have traveled a long way. Arrange for them to rest in Sea Horse City for a few days. Don't worry, they won't cause any trouble," Bo Saixi instructed Sea Horse Douluo.
She then turned to Qian Daoliu and Tang Chen, reminding them, "You may rest in Sea Horse City. Remember our agreement."
"Yes, High Priest!" Sea Horse Douluo glanced at the two men and bowed respectfully. He understood the importance of showing respect to those stronger than himself.
Qian Daoliu and Tang Chen nodded in acknowledgment, understanding Bo Saixi's unspoken message.
Bo Saixi then subtly glanced at Lin Yongming before returning to the Sea God Temple.
"Strange, how did they resolve things so quickly? They seemed so aggressive earlier. What did they discuss?" Lin Yongming thought to himself, feeling puzzled.
"Your Excellencies, please follow me," Sea Horse Douluo said, leading Qian Daoliu and Tang Chen away.
Back in the Sea God Temple, Bo Saixi sat on her throne, deep in thought.
"What should I do? Should I terminate the pregnancy or keep the child?"
Before long, Mo Li returned to the temple. "High Priest."
"Mo Li, you're back," Bo Saixi looked up and asked calmly, "Mo Li, how old am I now?"
"High Priest, why do you ask?" Mo Li was taken aback by the sudden question.
"I just realized I've forgotten how long I've lived," Bo Saixi replied slowly.
"High Priest, I don't know the exact number, but you're not yet ninety."
"You awakened your martial soul at six, began your trials at eighteen, and received the top-tier Red-Level Eight Trials, marking you as the next High Priest. It took you over twenty years to complete the trials and become a Supreme Douluo, taking over as the leader of Sea God Island. By that count, you've been the High Priest for over forty years," Mo Li recounted Bo Saixi's life.
"So, I'm in my eighties now. Mo Li, do I look old?" Bo Saixi sighed softly.
"High Priest, what's wrong? With your strength, you're at your peak. You look as youthful as someone in their twenties, full of vitality," Mo Li quickly reassured her.
"Strange, the High Priest has never cared about her appearance like this before. Could it be because of the two Supreme Douluos who arrived today?" Mo Li wondered.
"It's nothing. I just feel a bit tired and overwhelmed. You may leave," Bo Saixi dismissed Mo Li.
"Yes, High Priest. Please rest well," Mo Li bowed and left the hall.
"Sixteen… eighty," Bo Saixi murmured to herself, still unable to comprehend how she had become pregnant.
This was all due to the effects of the Rootless Demon Water, which had caused both Lin Yongming and Bo Saixi to lose their rationality. In their unconscious state, neither had thought to take precautions. By the time they woke up the next morning, it was too late.
Lin Yongming, who normally would have been more cautious, had been too preoccupied with explaining himself and seeking Bo Saixi's forgiveness to think about the consequences. As for Bo Saixi, she had no experience in such matters and had been too distraught to consider the possibility.
And so, by a twist of fate, a seed had been planted and had already begun to grow.
Bo Saixi was now torn. Should she keep the child or not? She didn't dare to tell Lin Yongming about her predicament.
After much deliberation, Bo Saixi finally made up her mind.
"I'll ask him one question. If he intends to inherit the Sea God's position, I'll keep the child. If not, I won't."
That night, Bo Saixi secretly made her way to Sea Horse City and entered Lin Yongming's room.
"This guy is sleeping so soundly. How infuriating. I'm the one who's been suffering," Bo Saixi thought as she looked at Lin Yongming, who was peacefully asleep in his thin pajamas.
She temporarily sealed Bibi Dong's senses to ensure she wouldn't wake up.
"Lin Yongming, wake up!" Bo Saixi pinched Lin Yongming's ear and pulled him up.
"Ouch! Dong'er, what are you doing?"
"Ah, High Priest!" Lin Yongming initially thought it was Bibi Dong playing a prank, but he quickly realized it was Bo Saixi. He immediately lowered his voice, afraid of waking Bibi Dong.
He never expected Bo Saixi to visit him in the middle of the night.
"Hmph, come with me. I need to talk to you," Bo Saixi said coldly.
"Bo Saixi, can you let go of my ear?" Lin Yongming pleaded, on the verge of tears.
"Stop complaining!"
Bo Saixi took Lin Yongming and, in the blink of an eye, they were in a small grove of trees outside Sea Horse City.
