Making sure Diana was comfortable in her room, I retreated to my room. Slipping out of my sandals, I sat on the edge of the bed with one ankle resting on the other thigh.
My heels were aching from all that sprinting and fighting I did in those high heels. I pressed my fingers on my heels to relieve some of the pain when my eyes caught sight of a yellow sticky note on the side table.
'Take your pills' was written on the note and the pill bottle was kept just beside it.

My lips curled into a small smile without me realising.
But I had to have dinner before taking those pills.
Letting out a soft sigh, I got up from the bed and hissed in pain as soon as the soles of my feet touched the floor. Limping on my way, I went to the washroom and got out of my clothes before taking a quick warm shower.
Changing into a pair of comfortable satin pyjamas, I went out. As I was about to open the bedroom door, I heard a knock.
