She felt as if her heart had been frozen in a cold room with a temperature of 20 degrees below zero. These misunderstandings made her very sad. She lowered her head and her curled lashes trembled slightly. She looked devastated.
She really wanted to rush in to defend herself, but she didn't because she couldn't tell the truth.
No one would believe that there were vampires in this world except her.
"Stop talking about Avril," Schels said in a hoarse voice.
"The police will find out the truth. I believe she's not the murderer."
Avril really appreciated the kindness shown. Avril raised her head slightly to hide tears in her eyes. She knew that Schels and Mickey were close, but he didn't accuse her. Instead, he chose to believe her, which was surprising.
When Avril heard the sound of high heels behind her, she quickly adjusted her expression and pretended to look relaxed.
Then she saw Celine standing behind her with two cups of coffee.
"Avril!" Celine seemed to be very happy.
