"I'll ride."

Unexpectedly, Max stepped forward, halting her just as she reached for the stirrup.

She glanced at his face, expecting to see eagerness— however he looked calm and composed, not like someone thrilled to try something new.

Though she didn't let it show, Max felt her worry of the horse running away if he triggered it and patted its head.

Seeing the horse didn't react, Olivia appeared relieved and handed him the reins.

"Just so you know, this is our only ride home."

Understanding her unsaid words, Max calmly straightened his leg. Surprisingly the horse stood calm and upright as he climbed up.

Naturally Olivia who stood witnessing this was incredibly surprised.

Soon after Max motioned for her to get on by stretching out one of his arms to help her up.

She grabbed his hand and was assisted to climb the horse.

Holding the reins steady, Max urged to move by clamping his legs with a quick release.

Snort.

It released a snort and began strutting Forward.
