"Ahhh!" Ilsa's scream broke the deathly silence. "It- just-Eli!!", her legs buckled up, without an ounce of strength.
Everyone's face went deathly pale. Jason just stood there on his platform, still as if frozen; everyone else was trembling. Elise and Mia's condition was not better than Ilsa's.
Even Ava took some steps back, her whole body shivering, with chills of fear periodically running up her spine.
Mark and Liam, however, seemed to be able to grab hold of themselves.
But everyone's hearts were in turmoil; they couldn't even fathom what that thing was.
It just came and took one of them with it.
Swiftly they all distanced themselves from the barricade. Liam and Mark helped Jason to get off the platform.
Then, just before they could stabilize, Vin, who was still standing near Elise's platform, collapsed. His breath was heavy with short bursts of fog coming from his mouth.
