Hiccup's Point of View
The cove was quiet, still basking in the deep indigo veil of pre-dawn. Stars sparkled faintly overhead, as if reluctant to give way to the coming day. But beneath that calm sky, the air around us was charged—alive with energy that pulsed in rhythm with the bond between Luna and me. A second heartbeat. Strong. Steady. Growing.
Whatever transformation had happened, it didn't just change our bodies.
It awakened something.
And now, it was time to discover exactly what.
Luna stretched beside me, her wings folding lazily before settling behind her back. Her emerald eyes shimmered like wildfire as she turned to me.
"Are you ready, Hiccup?" she asked, a teasing challenge beneath her tone.
I flexed my clawed fingers, watching as the constellations etched along the surface caught the starlight.
"Oh, I'm more than ready," I said with a grin. "Let's find out what we're really capable of."
⸻
Three Forms, One Soul
We started with the obvious—our forms. I could feel the energy inside me, simmering just beneath the surface. When I focused, it rose with ease, fire sliding along my skin like silk.
My scales rippled across my body, claws extending, wings flaring out behind me. The shift into my hybrid form was instantaneous. Natural. As if I'd always had this power.
"Effortless," I murmured.
Luna smirked, and in the blink of an eye, her form melted away—bones shifting, scales multiplying, limbs extending. Her full dragon form stood before me, graceful and predatory.
She stretched her wings with a low growl of satisfaction. "Still faster than you."
I snorted and let my own hybrid form go. Bones cracked, muscles surged, and darkness enveloped my skin as I transformed. When I stood tall again, fully shifted into my dragon form, I felt whole.
Powerful. Ancient.
Luna blinked, eyes wide. "You've grown."
I looked down at my paws—larger, heavier, etched with constellations that now pulsed softly. Even my wingspan dwarfed hers slightly.
"Guess I needed to measure up to you," I said, my dragon voice rough and thunderous.
She grinned. "You've definitely measured up."

Plasma and Roar
Back in our hybrid forms, we tested offensive abilities. I concentrated, letting energy pool in my palm until it burned. Then I released it.
A streak of plasma roared across the clearing and detonated against a boulder in the distance, sending molten shards across the trees.
Luna didn't even blink before launching her own blast, hers hitting the center of a standing stone and cleaving it in two.
"Precision over power," she smirked.
"Noted," I replied—and then I roared.
The sound cracked through the trees like a falling mountain. The earth trembled. The pond rippled. Birds scattered from distant trees.
Luna responded in kind, her own roar slicing through the quiet like a blade.
Together, we sounded like gods of war.
⸻
Senses and Strength
Returning to human form, I tested my senses.
Everything was clearer. The smallest rustle. The faintest heartbeat. I could hear the wind bending through leaves.
"I can smell a fox hiding behind those rocks," I said, pointing.
"I can hear a stream over three miles away," Luna countered, narrowing her eyes as she focused.
Then came strength.
I grabbed a boulder the size of a shield and lifted it one-handed. My muscles didn't even tremble.
Luna snapped a thick tree limb in half with barely any effort.
"Twice as strong," I muttered. "Maybe more."
"Good," she said. "We'll need it when the world tries to resist."
⸻
Speed and Endurance
The forest flew past in a blur as we raced through the trees, claws tearing at the ground, wings slicing the air when we jumped. Every step felt fluid. Wild.
We pushed our bodies harder and faster—but exhaustion never came.
Hours passed. Still, we moved like we had just begun.
Eventually, we stopped at the edge of a cliff. The horizon burned orange as the sun crept up.
Luna stood beside me, breath calm, posture loose.
"They'll never outpace us," she said.
"They won't even see us coming," I added, my grin sharp.
⸻
Flexibility and Instinct
As the light deepened, I stepped behind Luna, curiosity stirring. I lifted a clawed hand and pressed gently against the base of her skull—just like I remembered from before.
She tensed, a low growl curling from her chest—but she didn't attack.
The bond soothed her.
And as I held my hand there, her body adjusted. Her movements sharpened, spine aligning, shoulder blades flexing with new grace.
She inhaled slowly. "What...?"
I stepped back.
She turned her head. "How did you know to do that?"
I met her gaze. Calm. Firm. "I'll tell you everything. Soon. But for now... just trust that it's something I remember."
Her eyes lingered on mine. She didn't fully believe me—but she didn't doubt me either.
"I trust you," she said, her voice low. "Even if I don't understand you yet."

Claiming the World
The sky flared with golden light. The cove shimmered like fire-touched glass.
Luna stood beside me, tall and fierce, her tail brushing my ankle.
"This world is broken," I said. "The humans, the dragons... they tear each other apart without reason. It needs to end."
She turned to me. "So we end it."
I looked at her, and something inside me locked into place.
"No," I said. "We rebuild it. For us. For dragons. For the few humans who still deserve their breath. We'll forge a world where our rule brings peace—and no one will ever hurt us again."
Her claws slid into mine. "Together."
"Always," I whispered.
As the sun rose fully, I felt it.
Purpose.
Power.
And the first tremble of the world as it prepared to meet its new rulers.
