Chapter 117 - The Shameless Kusakage

— — — — — —

"Heh!"

Seeing the Grass Ninja charging at him with their swords drawn, Renzo let out a cold sneer.

Without hesitation, he activated Body Flicker, turning into a blur of afterimages as he easily evaded their attacks.

BAM! BAM! BAM!!

With swift and powerful kicks, he sent each of the Grass Ninjas flying. They crashed through wooden walls and were thrown far into the distance.

"Ugh!!"

"You...!"

Blood spewed from their mouths mid-air as they were flung away.

How terrifying was Renzo's strength now? Every casual movement carried tens of tons of force, a result of his intense training alongside Python and Pirate Renzo.

These Grass Ninjas had no chance—after taking a single blow from Renzo's furious strikes, their chests caved in, and then died.

Even in their final moments, their first instinct was to reach out towards Uzumaki Rena, desperately hoping to suck her blood and heal.

The corruption of the Grass Ninja Village (Kusagakure) disgusted Renzo. His gaze grew even colder.

These people truly deserved to die.

"Alright, time to leave."

After finishing off the Grass Ninjas, Renzo turned back to Uzumaki Rena and spoke directly to her.

"Y-You... Who are you? Did you come just for me?"

Uzumaki Rena's voice was filled with fear, but also a trace of curiosity and hope.

For years, she and her husband had prayed that someone would rescue them from this nightmare.

But no one ever came.

Now, Renzo had suddenly appeared, leaving her bewildered.

"If that's how you want to see it, then sure." Renzo nodded.

"But why?"

Rena remained cautious. There was no way she could simply trust him just because he just looked good.

Hmm... Even though Renzo used Transformation Jutsu, he still couldn't completely hide his handsomeness.

Ahem... Alright, fine, he had based this form on Pirate Renzo's template, making him devastatingly handsome—only slightly below his true self.

It was acceptable.

"Because you are an Uzumaki," Renzo stated bluntly.

"You—!"

Hearing those words, Rena's pupils contracted sharply. Instead of relaxing, her experiences over the past few years made her even more wary.

"So, in the end, you're just like all the others?"

Her heart was filled with bitterness.

Fate was so cruel.

Seeing her expression, Renzo immediately understood what she was thinking.

He sighed, walked over, and grabbed her hand without hesitation. Ignoring the frightened medical staff and injured ninjas around them, he led her outside the hospital.

At the same time, he sent her a telepathic message:

"Relax, I'm a Konoha ninja. I have no interest in your healing abilities."

"I came to rescue you because I recently heard that there was an Uzumaki here. My friend and teacher, Namikaze Minato, has a girlfriend from the Uzumaki Clan. The Uzumaki Clan was once Konoha's ally."

"That's why I made the trip."

"After this, I'll take you to Konoha."

"Of course, if you don't want to go, I can arrange something else for you. I can take you to Tsunade of the Legendary Sannin. Her grandmother, Uzumaki Mito, was once the princess of the Uzumaki Clan. She will definitely take care of you."

Renzo didn't actually need Rena herself—just a small sample of her blood cells was enough for his research.

As compensation, he didn't mind saving her and her unborn child, Uzumaki Karin, so they could live a better life.

In the original timeline, Rena died a horrible death.

And Karin's childhood was equally miserable.

If he could change that, he would.

"Huh? You..."

Hearing the voice in her head, Rena was momentarily stunned. But after listening to Renzo's words, she was moved.

She hurriedly asked for confirmation: "Are you telling the truth? You're really from there?"

She didn't say "Konoha" directly.

Because by now, many more Grass Ninjas had gathered around them, drawn by the commotion.

"I have no reason to lie to you. Now, go with my Shadow Clone for a moment and watch me avenge you. After that, we'll leave."

As he spoke, Renzo quickly formed hand seals, creating a Shadow Clone. The clone grabbed Rena and used the Flying Thunder God Technique to teleport her outside the village, to a high ground overlooking the Grass Ninja Village.

From there, she could see the entire village.

"That was... Konoha's space-time ninjutsu, the Flying Thunder God? Are you Namikaze Minato?"

A voice rang out as the Kusakage of the Grass Ninja Village arrived on the scene, his eyes narrowing at Renzo.

"Why did you break into my Village, kill our shinobi, and even abduct our important medical personnel?"

"Are you trying to ruin the relationship between our two villages? Return her immediately and offer a proper compensation, or we will not let this slide!"

The Kusakage immediately took the initiative, questioning aggressively.

After all, at this moment, Konoha and Kusagakure had recently renewed their alliance contract.

If the man in front of him was truly Namikaze Minato, then he could use Konoha's name to threaten and manipulate him. After all, Hiruzen Sarutobi, Konoha's Third Hokage, was a spineless fool who always preached "peace."

He was always willing to compromise.

Grass Ninja Village loved Hokages like that!

Over the years, their village had wavered between Iwagakure and Konoha, often siding more with Iwa Ninjas. Yet, Konoha never did anything about it. Instead, they repeatedly signed alliance treaties with them.

A village that was so easy to deceive and manipulate? They loved that!

"Heh… your so-called 'important medical personnel'?"

Renzo chuckled coldly, looking at the Kusakage with disdain. "More like a walking blood bank."

"Kusakage! Since you know my name, then you should know exactly what kind of woman I am involved with!"

As he said this, his gaze turned even colder. "Your Grass Ninja Village actually dared to imprison a survivor of the Uzumaki Clan, a former ally of Konoha, and treat her like a mobile blood supply!"

"Tell me, how would you like to die?"

The moment he uttered the word "die," a terrifying killing intent erupted from Renzo, spreading like a tidal wave. The surrounding Grass Ninja turned pale with fear.

"T-This… this isn't our fault!"

The Kusakage immediately realized the situation was dire, but still tried to argue. "We had no idea they were from the Uzumaki Clan! If not for us saving and taking them in, they would've died long ago! They should be grateful!"

Renzo scoffed. "Oh? So not only should I not blame you, but I should be thanking you instead?"

"No need for gratitude! Just leave her behind, and that will be enough! Uzumaki Rena has received so much from our village—staying here is the best way for her to repay us!"

The Kusakage's shamelessness reached new heights.

He probably thought that this Namikaze Minato didn't seem too aggressive after all.

Maybe he could bargain with him.

Maybe even gain some benefits.

Of course, keeping Uzumaki Rena would be ideal.

He couldn't bear to lose such a valuable asset.

As long as he had Uzumaki Rena, no matter how severe his injuries, he could always be healed.

The temptation was simply too great.

---

Meanwhile Renzo's shadow clone went and spoke with Namikaze Minato.

"Minato-Sensei! What do you think?"

Renzo's shadow clone addressed him directly.

If he wanted to bring Uzumaki Rena into Konoha, informing Minato and Kushina would be the best option.

It would also be an excellent way to gain favor with them.

This would lay the groundwork for Renzo to later acquire the Uzumaki Clan's sealing techniques from Kushina.

Of course, he had already obtained a sample of Uzumaki Rena's blood earlier while treating her.

A small amount was all he needed.

So, once he confirmed that she was indeed in Grass Ninja Village, he immediately used his wristwatch communicator to contact his clone in Konoha.

That clone then informed Minato.

"As expected, these people deserve to die."

Minato's usually warm expression had darkened.

Through the wristwatch's projection, he had seen and heard the entire conversation.

Even with his calm nature, he was furious!

Of course, maybe part of it was also fear—fear that if he didn't handle this properly, Kushina would punish him when he got home.

"I'm going over. I'll leave this side to you."

With that, Minato handed a Flying Thunder God kunai to Renzo's shadow clone.

Renzo's clone took it and immediately used the Flying Thunder God technique to teleport the kunai to his main body's side.

In an instant, Minato disappeared with a "whoosh" and reappeared right beside Renzo's true body, catching the kunai effortlessly. The two exchanged a glance and nodded.

It was like a silent signal.

The next moment, countless Flying Thunder God kunai were hurled in all directions.

Swish! Swish! Swish!

The Kusakage and his men barely had time to react before a golden light flashed before their eyes.

The next thing they knew, two figures were weaving through their ranks at terrifying speeds, cutting them down with deadly precision.
