Chapter 49 - Chapter 48: Daily Reward

But Monday…

Monday would be the day everything changed.

After dinner, it was already quite late, and Rex didn't stay for long.

So, he said goodbye with a promise to meet early on Monday, the fateful day.

Adrian didn't say much; he also needed some time alone to process and contemplate everything.

Heading back to the university, he got into his car. Driving through the parking lot, he happened to see his old car gathering dust. "Seems like I have to take it sometime tomorrow and bring it back home."

Driving the car, he soon reached home.

Carelessly tossing things aside, he threw himself on the couch in the living room.

Today had been an incredibly hectic day for him. Even though he was the one who decided to do this, he couldn't help feeling tired. Rubbing his face on the sofa, he muttered,

"How the heck did I get into this situation? I just wanted a quiet and normal… well, better than normal life. But anyway, I'm so tired."
