Her hand shook as she held the phone. She blinked her eyes twice to be sure that she saw properly. The phone fell out of her hand and landed on the floor with a soft thud.
She turned to the side, breathing heavily as she tried to process the text message. But several things bothered her.
This was a new phone. How was anyone able to get her contact? She hadn't shared her contact with anyone, not even Lara or Ashley.
She picked the phone from the floor and placed it on the bed, going through the message again. It was the exact message that was on the note. It was sent as a text message, but there was also a warning added below: "If you dodge me, I'd make your life miserable."
"Who are you?" She screamed in panic as if the sender could respond from the phone. She stood up from the bed and paced around restlessly, desperate for an answer to her questions.
"Fiona, are you alright?" Lara asked as she came into the room. "I heard your screams from downstairs."
