Causing a scene at school wasn't one of Kace's biggest achievements. Being born extraordinary wasn't what he wanted, especially not in front of his uncle. Knowing the pain he caused himself just for being too bright had had him had enough, but of what cause?
Was it because he became crippled or became an unfortunate orphan or the fact he was unlucky; from birth till now, Kace dmitry has had enough. Just a few seconds of fighting back had him trapped inside a magnetise iron cage, with no faith and hope, he constantly writhed in pain. The syrium choked his neck, bloodshot his eyes, and left him to weep, till the boy was begging someone to take his life.
But now his body relaxed, breath smooth by every beat, the pain vanished, and all his numbness perished in an instant. Is this a dream? Moments passed away till he first opened his, calm yet wary, he tried to get up and scanned the room.
He was still in school, but for how long?
"Almost three weeks", said a girl with braids and glasses. Kace immediately docked away the second Orette jumped at him with excitement.
His eyes couldn't believe what he saw: a small, slim girl. Maybe around his age, but it was hard to believe that. I guess cause she is short.
"I'm sorry, but who are you?" Kace looked as if he had asked something dumb.
For a second, Orette looked at him as if he were dumbfounded; she didn't blink, and just stared at him as some creep. Moments later, she began to laugh hysterically. Her body couldn't handle it, so she faced the floor, giggling nonstop.
Finally, she recovered her face, trying to calm down, but burst again.
"I'M SORRY, SO SORRY BUT IT'S JUST TOO MUCH!" she said and started to burst again.
Kace, seeing a real-life maniac, said, "I don't see anything funny about my question".
"Oh my god, don't tell me you're serious, HAHahah~." She faced him. "Damn, you're serious!?".
Now Orette looked at him as she was dumbfounded. "Bud, it's me", she came close to him, but Kace jerked back as if he were meeting a stranger.
"Orette Jambari, the girl you saved you and the other experiments seven years ago."
No response.
"I used to have short hair, like this," she said, grasping her hair to show him its approximate length.
Still no response.
"I used to be a cold-hearted freak".
Not a single bell struck Kace.
With annoyance, Orette could help but be defeated by what she was about to say, "You may know me as Zero-zero-zero, the rebel, the executer, the eliminater, the exterminator, the cold-hearted devil, spawn of Sins, and what else they call me?".
"The mercyless chaos".
"Yeah, that".
Orette turned to him to finally come to an understanding of who she was, she was rather glad that Kace didn't take too long to realize who she was. Sniff. Caught Orette on guard.
"Hey, buddy, you cryin'? ".
"Of course I am", Kace wiped tears from his eyes, a feeling of relief passed him like a soothing ocean wave. "I thought we were never gonna meet you again".
"Awww~, zero-zero-four, that's... kind of weird. Stop saying stupid things. Of course we were gonna meet again one way or another".
Kace knew this attitude was sure, this was zero-zero-zero, the girl who did something bigger than just saving lives. "You know?". Kace stood up, balancing his body since his head was still dizzy from the effect. "You've changed".
"Huh!" Orette turned to him, confused, "How so?". She asked.
"Mmm, well, you seem lively".
"Lively? How so? I mean, I have life, so it's obvious I should be lively".
"Yeah, but when we were kids, you were all depressed and you know. You looked dead, broken, and_".
"Emotionless", she said, not changing her expression, "I see. So erasing my knowledge made me normal", she muttered to herself.
"What are you saying?".
"Ah! I'm saying that knowing others have given me joy".
"That's not what you were jus_".
"Okay, I think we had our talk, now it's time to infiltrate the corporation and destroy them, mentally, and remove the syrium from our bodies to finally enjoy our normal lives. Easy, right?". She turns towards Kace and claps her hands in excitement.
But Kace gives her an obvious look, a look that says, You forgot something very important. Orette couldn't help but feel frustrated before she said the unholy words of her peaceful hours.
"Let's rescue your cousin first".
