Lorraine's POV
".....he's going to kill me , isn't he ?", I let out a long sigh as I stood outside the Lauren family home , big black gates standing between me and my father's dull mansion
"Captain Raye....is my brother inside, you don't have to answer me though", I muttered under my breath , feeling shame and pain creep in as I anticipated his cold shoulder
Raye stood there with a grim expression on his face as expected , he looked down at me then down at my bags...as if solving his own equations in his head
Getting no reply from him , I sighed and picked my bags up from the pavement
"Chase....Chase is not home", he stuttered
A bit suprised I turned around and looked up at his face
He furrowed his brows and tightened his lips into a straight line
He was always cold to me...in spite of that his eyes seemed different...a bit compassionate if you ask me or I'm overthinking
"Neither is Mr Lauren", he added with a hint of tension in his voice
"What",
"Chase Lauren and Mr Lauren are out of state", he added
"Oh...", I let my head down wondering where to take miserable self
"Judging from your expression I take it you have nowhere else to go", he sighed as I stood on the cold pavement with my eyes glued to my feet
"You can stay over at my place...just for awhile", he muttered under his breath
