CALVIN – The Office, Late Night
The city was quiet, but Calvin's mind wasn't.
He stared at the glossy black folder again, flipping it open like a ritual. Every photo, every bank transaction, every lie—proof that the woman he once loved had been playing a long game.
She hadn't just betrayed him. She'd crafted her betrayal, like one of her couture gowns. Stitch by stitch. Smile by smile.
And now she was trying to take everything.
He tossed the folder onto the desk, leaned back, and closed his eyes.
He could still hear her voice the night she threatened him. "If I can't have you, no one else will."
That wasn't love. That was possession.
His phone buzzed.
Wyatt: Got confirmation. She's trying to buy out your shares in NovaTech through shell investors. Sloppy ones.
Calvin smirked. She was getting desperate.
He typed back: Let her think she's ahead. I want to see how far she'll fall when I pull the rug.
