Chapter 13 - Vampire

Down a narrow set of stairs, the busy street sounds faded, and music beats began making their way through the air. The club lights were dimmed creating a moody vibe with strobe lighting and effects focused on the dance floor. The dance floor exuded life and rhythm whereas the corners and bar gave off a more private feeling.

'Come on, lets dance!' Maya was full of energy as she pulled Ashin into the crowd. Maya traced his hair with her fingers as she moved her body sensually closer to him with the music. Ashin's hands cradled her waistline as he moved in time with the music following her lead, his eyes following hers. As her eyes went to his lips, so did his. As her eyes went to his eyes, so did his. Showing her she was in control.

Their bodies disappeared amidst the masses while Cassius guided Camilla to the bar. This time he held her more firmly never allowing her to as so much as graze the crowd. With every touch there was an extra detail. An index finger that caressed her shoulder as he shielded her from the right. A finger that slid under her sleeve as he pulled hand from the left. Camilla's senses were alert despite her flushed expression, she could feel his intent.

They pair took a seat at the corner of the bar. 'I didn't think you seemed the dancing type, at least not in that mess.' Cassius spoke close in her ear over the music as he pulled her in, still holding her hands. 'What would you like to drink?'

Cassius was in his element, the club itself reminded him of his past debaucheries he committed during his dark ages. The environment awoke temptations Cassius thought he had long buried. Seeing Camilla so out of her element also made him more wary of her, he found himself wanting to make sure of her comfort. He still wasn't sure if this was all bloodlust or something else.

'You're right, I do prefer more private spaces, can you tell its my first time?' She shouted in his ear and smiled while backing away. Cassius smiled back his eyes seductive against the dark lights, Camilla thought they looked so alluring with a red tint against the club décor.

Cassius parted his legs slightly wider on his bar stool and pulled Camilla in between them, his hand resting on either thigh to hold her standing in place. Skipping a breath at the swift motion, she laid her hands on his chest and couldn't help but sneak a feel over his clothes. 'I'll think I'll have something light.' She said awfully aware of how close she was to fully letting herself go.

As she sipped her drink, she continued to stand in between his legs staring at the crowd dancing away the night.

'Are you enjoying the show?' Cassius asked.

'I'm not quite sure, they look so free, not a care in the world, I wonder if I can I feel that too?' Camilla began going on about her thoughts, she would sometimes do this, lose herself in thought but this time it was out loud. She didn't even realise that she had turned to face the dance floor and rest herself on Cassius' leg.

'I'm the type the tends to live in my head you see, when I'm with people I love I fully let go, sometimes I do want to just try a day in their shoes. Like just go wild! Ha ha, what am I saying? It's way to loud you probably can't even hear half of what I'm saying.'

'I can hear every word, don't worry, speak freely.' Cassius spoke and suddenly she was very aware how close they were, she could feel his breath with every word. Conscious that she was sitting on his lap she decided to use dancing as an excuse to get up.

'Come, lets live like the masses.' She pulled Cassius up as she spoke in a teasing manner. It wasn't like Camilla to be so forward, perhaps it was the drink she had earlier or maybe she did just feel so at ease with Cassius. It was clear he was interested in her but unlike the others she never felt pressure from him, almost as if it didn't matter if she liked him back or not.

That was indeed the case as Camilla's interest in him didn't matter to Cassius at all, for him it was simply a matter of time till he feasted on her.

Cassius obliged her desires and followed her to the dance floor. Upon reaching Camilla became self-conscious of the multiple bodies surrounding them, Cassius sensed her insecurities rise. He grabbed her gaze, placing her hair behind her ear and caressed her face. She let herself enjoy his touch, lost in his deep never ending dark eyes. Cassius focused in on her eyes, he felt so much life in them, full of so many emotions unlike his.

He pulled her body in close with the music, she turned pressing herself on him from behind with the rhythm. Cassius embraced her tighter, one hand exploring her thing over her tights. The other placed just below her abdomen pulling her in with each beat. With each beat he pressed further from behind. If it wasn't for their clothes she could feel so much more- she surprised herself with the thought.

Cassius breath tickled her neck as she moved her hair out of the way. As their bodies moved, his lips would unintentionally brush her ear. Sometimes she felt a cheek, other times his nose. Camilla wished so much that he would just stay put on her.

'Are you enjoying yourself?' Cassius spoke on to her skin as he placed his lips directly on her ear, she could feel his lips so vividly. He was having a hard time controlling himself, if his trousers weren't so loose his state would be clear to see. His fangs were still retracted but his eyes kept dancing between shades of black and crimson.

'I think I need a drink.' Camilla figured if she was going to really let loose then she needed some liquid courage to help.

'I couldn't agree more.' Cassius exhaled his words composing himself although he was talking about an entirely different kind of drink.

Camilla searched the club for Maya and Ashin as she sipped her drink at the bar, but they were nowhere in sight.

'They left some time ago, if that is what you were after?' Cassius guessed correctly.

'What! That little…!' Camilla's annoyance was visible, but she quickly retracted it. She knew Maya's personality, there as no tying her down and she hated to force that on her.

'If you are uncomfortable, I can take you home.' Cassius proposed. This is exactly what she started to enjoy with Cassius' company, he kept everything at her pace. Camilla couldn't help but compare to her time with Kai, she could always sense the unease with him, as though he was walking on eggshells around her.

'No, not home but we could leave.' Camilla suggested as she invaded Cassius' space looking up at him through her curled lashes.

The pair exited the club, and the silence of the night embraced them louder than expected. Camilla paused a moment taking in the quiet as her eyes adjusted to the streetlights, the drinks was affecting her more than she thought making her sightly tipsy.

'Camilla?' Cassius called her name bringing her back to her surroundings as he supported her. She didn't realise she was leaning back onto him while enjoying the moment.

'I love the way you say my name.' She began walking up the road not quite sure where to.

'Camilla.' He said it again, feeling the words on his lips, as though he was testing it.

Hearing Cassius say her name made her tingle below, she imagined him moaning it by her ear and bit her lip at the idea.

'Yeah, everyone I know calls me Cami, so it's refreshing to hear.' Camilla stopped at bench and turned to face Cassius.

'Why? It's a beautiful name, it represents you well.' Cassius felt that to be true; Camilla- like her name seemed so complete from his perspective. He stepped in closer wrapping his arms around her, as he let himself wonder in her hazel eyes. She felt her cheeks grow redder under his intense gaze.

'Camilla…' Cassius spoke her name again, this time in a more softened tone making his intentions very clear. His hand found its way to her jaw, carefully guiding her face to his.

Cassius placed his lips on hers, testing her reaction. She welcomed him and allowed her lips to explore his. His tongue sensual, teasing her with a kiss that made her long for more.

He pulled back checking in on her, again wondering to himself why he was so careful and delicate in his interactions with this human.

As hard as it was to believe, this was indeed Camilla's first kiss. She was suddenly very aware of that fact once Cassius pulled back and decided she needed a seat to compose herself.

'Just a moment, sorry.'

'You have nothing to apologise for Camilla, it is not needed.' Cassius spoke with confidence for some reason it also filled her with the same.

As Camilla sat on the bench she scraped her hand on a split edge, scratching herself.

'Ouch, just a small scratch, so annoying.' She laughed off her slight embarrassment.

Although Cassius' reaction wasn't as light. The scent that visited him before had suddenly rushed his senses unexpectedly, Cassius lost control of his actions for a moment. Not sure how or when he found himself sitting in front of Camilla, legs either side of her, straddling the bench, holding her scraped palm tight.

'Cassius, are you okay? It's not that serious don't worry.' Camilla urged him sensing a change in his demeanour.

Cassius looked up revealing his changed state, although his fangs were retracted his eyes were clearly glowing red against the moon lit sky. Camilla gasped fully understanding the situation; despite rarely seeing vampires, all students were still educated on them especially those studying Code.

'Now this is a situation where one would need to apologise.' Cassius said with a smile as he indulged in Camilla's hand. His tongue cupped the blood that escaped Camilla's scratch, milking it for all he could. The shock that had first taken over Camilla was then followed by pure pleasure from the feel of Cassius' tongue having it's way on her skin.

Cassius felt something inside him awaken long forgotten, he could feel his body's pure ecstatic response to Camilla's blood. His reaction evident under his clothes, Cassius tried to compose himself covering his now erupted fangs as he looked at her.

'I am sorry Camilla; I seem to have lost control.' Cassius, not sure why, was explaining himself to her, a human. Perhaps the fact that Cassius lost control already threw him off and he simply unravelled. Or perhaps Cassius dare he entertain the thought, cares about Camilla.

Camilla could barely muster up the strength to speak but managed to utter one word.

'Vampire?'
