Chapter 86 - Surrounded

The bullet tore through the air, but Kael was much faster.

Time seemed to slow down around him as he moved, blue energy pulsing around his body. 

In the blink of an eye, Kael closed the distance between himself and the prisoners.

The gunshot echoed in the hallway, completely missing Kael. 

Not because the prisoner was a poor shot, but because Kael wasn't standing still long enough to get hit. 

Kael grabbed the prisoner by the throat, lifting him off the ground, even though the man was much taller than him. 

He was heavier too, but that didn't stop Kael. The motions he went through were now almost effortless. 

Kael remembered when he used to struggle swinging a pickaxe back in the mines. How each strike had sent pain through his bones. 

Now lifting up 100 kg was easier than that. Like lifting up a feather.
