Chapter 94 - Chapter 94: Still Peter, You Are Ruthless

"I'm only giving you one chance. Where did Evelyn Parker go? Or where did you send her?"

Hearing Peter's words, the wooden man's face immediately turned pale. He had feared this moment, knowing that if Peter was here looking for Evelyn, things wouldn't end well for him.

"Evelyn's behavior chip was broken. I took care of her for two days, and when it still didn't work, I sent her to Brother Finger."

The wooden man dared not lie now. He knew that Peter's strength was beyond comprehension—he and his team had wiped out their stronghold in just ten minutes. It was terrifying, inhuman even. But even now, he couldn't bring himself to admit that he had tortured Evelyn for those two days. Instead, he tried to make it sound like he had cared for her. He knew that telling the full truth would only seal his fate.

Peter narrowed his eyes. "Took care of her? Do you take me for a three-year-old? Why would you care for her when you have no relation to her?"

The wooden man swallowed hard, but before he could say anything, Peter dialed Judy.

The call connected instantly.

"Peter! Any news? Did you find Evelyn?" Judy's anxious voice came through the receiver.

Peter didn't sugarcoat it. "Her behavior chip was broken, and the wooden man tortured her for two days before sending her to Brother Finger."

"The bastard! Peter, kill him! Kill him for me!" Judy's voice shook with fury.

"Don't worry, Judy. This guy is as good as dead." Peter ended the call, his gaze shifting back to the wooden man.

The wooden man panicked. "No! Please! Don't kill me! I have money! I can give you money!"

Peter ignored his pleas. Instead, he turned to Jack.

"Jack."

Jack looked at Peter, a little confused. "What's up, Peter?"

"I remember your Valentino gang has some methods to keep people awake during... questioning. Do you still know how to do it?"

A dark smile crossed Jack's face as he nodded. "Of course. I was a big brother in the Valentino gang, remember? I've dealt with plenty of scum like this. I still remember the tricks."

Jack's tone turned eager. From Peter and Judy's conversation, it was clear this guy had done terrible things to Evelyn. Jack might have been in a gang, but he had principles. He never tolerated men who mistreated women, especially those under his protection. Any of his subordinates who even thought about doing something like that wouldn't have lived to regret it.

Now that Peter had given the go-ahead, Jack was more than happy to teach the wooden man what hell felt like.

Half an Hour Later

Jack stretched his arms, loosening his muscles. He looked at Peter and grinned. "Well, I'd say he won't be making any moves anymore."

The wooden man before them barely resembled a human. His teeth were all gone, his fingers were bent at grotesque angles, and his nails had been ripped out one by one. His hands and legs had been crushed inch by inch, exposing bits of white bone where the skin had torn.

"Uh! Uh! Uh!" The wooden man could only make incomprehensible sounds, his body convulsing in pain.

Peter nodded. "Almost done. But there's still something left to take care of."

He raised his gun and, without hesitation, shot the wooden man's last remaining limb.

Jack whistled. "Damn, Peter. You're still the most ruthless one here. I almost forgot about that."

The wooden man's body spasmed one last time before he went completely still, life draining from him.

Peter turned to David, who had been watching the whole thing in stunned silence. "David, you okay? You look a little shaken."

David snapped out of his daze. "Ah, no, I'm fine. I've seen worse at Cyan Bi Mansion with you, Brother Peter. And anyway, this guy deserved it."

Peter studied David for a moment. Something seemed off. He glanced at David's back, where the fifth-order Sandevistan they had taken from Adam Smasher was installed.

"David, are you feeling any side effects from the Sandevistan?" Peter asked, frowning.

David hesitated for a moment, then shook his head. "No, no, I'm fine. I actually just took out more than a dozen members of the Tyger Claws with it earlier."

But Peter wasn't convinced. He could tell David was struggling to adjust to the cyberware.

"David, if it's too much for you, you should consider switching back to your old Sandevistan."

David immediately waved off the suggestion. "No way. I can handle it."

Peter gave him a long, measuring look but ultimately said nothing. He knew David was pushing himself, trying to prove he could keep up. There was no point in arguing now.

"Alright," Peter said finally. "Let's go find Brother Finger."

Brother Finger's Clinic

Standing outside Brother Finger's clinic, Jack looked skeptical. "Peter, you really think Evelyn is still here?"

Peter sighed. "I don't know. We'll have to check."

Jack frowned. "I mean, it's been two days. Even if Brother Finger is into sex dolls, he wouldn't keep her for that long. She could have been sold to the scavengers already."

Peter's expression darkened. That was exactly what he was afraid of. In the game, Evelyn had been tortured for days, eventually breaking down and committing suicide. But this wasn't the game. It had been almost a week—if the scavengers got their hands on her, she might already be dead.

"We'll find out soon enough," Peter said, heading upstairs.

At the clinic entrance, a group of sex workers—both male and female—sat outside, waiting. Some were street workers, while others worked in places like Evelyn once did.

Brother Finger's clinic wasn't a place for mercenaries or gangsters. He didn't have the skills to install high-grade cyberware. Instead, he specialized in "repairing" sex workers, patching them up or modifying them to better serve clients.

More often than not, he'd take advantage of them while they were under anesthesia before "fixing" their bodies.

But Brother Finger had two cybernetic implants that made him particularly dangerous:

1. Pain Editor – Allowing him to block pain at will.

2. Full-Width Resistance – Making his body incredibly resistant to damage.

Peter clenched his fists. If Evelyn was still here, they'd get her out. If not… Brother Finger would regret ever laying his hands on her.

Jack crossed his arms. "Alright, Peter. What's the plan?"

Peter's eyes gleamed with cold determination. "We go in, and we don't leave without answers."

Jack smirked. "Sounds like my kind of plan."

With that, they stepped inside.
