What does Bible say?
"A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. Ezekiel 36:26." Can the issues of the heart be overemphasized? Not at all. Out of it are the issues of life. So, it can't be overemphasized.
All humans are one: by creation and in terms of the outside looks. The only thing that differentiates us is the nature of the heart.
What is a heart?
According to encyclopedia, the human heart performs seven essential functions: Pumping oxygenated blood to body tissues, Receiving deoxygenated blood, Maintaining blood pressure, Routing blood through the lungs for oxygenation, Regulating blood flow by adjusting heart rate, providing nutrients to its tissues through coronary circulation, and Serves as a central part of the circulatory system.
The heart is a kingdom of it's own. Which is why it is made up of four Chambers.
There are ongoing processes which take place from time to time in the heart.
This heart is so complicated, that we wouldn't be able to say everything about it, 'cause apart from the fact that it's choked up with Chambers, Valves, Vessels, Walls and Conduction System, it is full of mysteries that we wouldn't be able to fathom.
The heart is life itself.

H- Habits
E- Expressions
A- Attire
R- Relationship
T- Talk
We would be critically considering each of these attributes of the heart in subsequent chapters.
HEART!
Bring out the three (3) middle letters and you have, "EAR". This means the heart is the ear of the soul. As common as it sounds, a little statement that the heart allows to go through, can pollute and paralyze the soul. In the same vein, just a little word or phrase could save and sanctify the soul. So, if there is an 'ear' in the word, 'heart', it means the heart is definitely connected to the ear. In other words, a polluted, perverted heart is a function of a polluted ear. We've got to therefore guard concerning what we hear.
Omit the letter, "R" from heart, and you have, "HEAT". Here, it means, the heart is a hot place. Friction is being created by the cares of this life, and by the circulatory activities going on: the heart deliberate on several things. When you get anxious, excited, ambitious, confused, depressed, etc., it all happens in your heart, and from there the brain receives the reactions.
Discard the first two (2) letters, and we have, "ART". It is the product of human creativity.
The life of man is surrounded around the heart:
When there's a contraction and expansion of the arteries with each beat, we call it Heartbeat.
When one experiences an intense sorrow caused by the loss of a loved one, this is Heartache.
When you feel a painful burning sensation in the chest as a result of any disorder, we say, Heartburn.
When you are broken in sorrow caused by a loved one, it's then, Heartbreak.
When the spirit is void of courage, enthusiasm, feelings, or pity, this heart becomes Heartless.
So, virtually every human experience is surrounded around the heart. This is what I call the ART of HEART.
BEAUTY
Remember the quotation at the beginning of this introduction, it talks about a single beautiful heart being better than a thousand beautiful faces. This is indeed true, beyond any debatable doubts.
Have you wondered? Most facially beautiful women don't always get married to the most handsome men, and most handsomely built men don't usually fall in love with the most beautiful on face women. You know why? I'll tell you. People lust after beauty but they fall for love. When the heart is beautiful, it radiates around every aspect of the human, irrespective of the looks. If the heart is polluted, or perverted, it affects the behavior, then you become repulsive. There's no amount of beauty you would possess that would change that fact. On the other hand, one might not be that beautiful, so to say, but when the heart is beautiful, gosh, people become so attracted to them. People ask sometimes, "What does she have that I don't have?" Hey, she has a beautiful heart.
