Chapter 17 - age of Ultron flying city

(AN so we're going to move fast so we're going to skip a lot of unnecessary details so we can reach the comics early)

One Year Later – Night Studios Main Building

"Wash! Wash! Yeah! Yay!"

Music blasted through the air as confetti rained down from the ceiling, filling the grand event hall with a mix of cheers and laughter. In the center of the room, Luke twirled effortlessly, his movements sharp yet smooth, enhanced by his control over the wind. Around him, dozens of paper planes danced in sync, soaring and twisting like a choreographed performance.

His employees formed a circle around him, cheering him on. Some recorded the moment on their phones, while others simply enjoyed the surreal sight of their boss—a literal superhero—dancing like it was a normal Friday night.

"Boss, you're showing off again!" someone called out jokingly.

"Let the man celebrate! We just released our own gaming console, and it's already a massive hit!" another voice added, met with a wave of enthusiastic agreement.

After one final spin, Luke stopped mid-air, letting the wind settle before landing smoothly on the ground. He took a deep breath, grinning as he wiped imaginary sweat from his forehead. "Alright, show's over! Go back to partying!"

He stepped out of the crowd, scanning the room for a particular someone. His gaze landed on Henry, who stood near the refreshment table, deep in conversation with Vanessa—his longtime assistant (and probably crush, if Luke's suspicions were correct).

"Hey, Henry!" Luke suddenly yelled over the music.

Henry flinched at the sound of his name, turning toward the source. "Luke?!"

"Come to my office for a second!"

Henry frowned, clearly reluctant to leave the party, especially since he was talking to Vanessa, but he sighed and followed Luke anyway.

Luke's Office

The further they walked from the party, the quieter the music became. By the time they reached Luke's office, it was nothing more than a faint background hum.

Henry crossed his arms the moment they stepped inside. "Alright, what was so important that you had to interrupt my conversation with Vanessa?"

Luke smirked. "Oh? You're calling it a conversation now? I thought you were working up the courage to ask her out."

Henry's face flushed red instantly. "Shut up!"

Luke burst out laughing as he plopped down into his office chair, spinning it slightly before getting serious.

"Alright, let's get to the point. Night Studios is already one of the biggest gaming companies in the world. Even people who don't follow the industry know our name. We have multiple headquarters across the U.S., and we're starting to expand internationally."

Henry nodded, still a little annoyed but listening. "Yeah… and?"

Luke leaned forward, lacing his fingers together. "I think it's time for us to go even bigger. I want Night Studios to expand beyond just gaming—into music, TV shows, and movies."

Henry's eyebrows shot up. "That came out of nowhere."

Luke shrugged. "Kinda, yeah. But it makes sense, right? We already create immersive worlds in video games. Why not bring those stories to other forms of media?"

Henry rubbed the back of his head. "I mean… yeah, we can do it. It's just a big step."

Luke grinned. "Good, because there's something even bigger I need to tell you."

He leaned back, stretching his arms before dropping the bombshell.

"Henry, I've decided to make you the CEO of Night Studios."

Silence.

Henry stared at him. Blinked. Then—

"WHAT?!"

Luke burst out laughing again. "Hahaha! Oh man, it's been a while since I heard that reaction!"

Henry pointed a finger at him, still trying to process what he just heard.

Calm down,You're acting like I just handed you the company!"

so Calm down. I'm not stepping away completely. You'll handle the business, and I'll still give input when needed. I trust you, Henry. You've been handling things alongside me from the start. It only makes sense."

(for those who don't know an owner of a company can appoint Someone else the CEO but they will still be the owner of the company)

Henry took a deep breath, slowly processing the weight of the responsibility Luke was placing on him.

"So… does this mean you're finally taking a step back from running the company to focus on hero work?"

Luke nodded, his expression becoming serious. "Yeah. The world's been getting more dangerous over the last few years, and I can't keep splitting my focus anymore."

Henry exhaled sharply, sitting on one of the chairs across from Luke. "Yeah, I get what you mean. This year alone has been crazy. Villains have been popping up left and right—The Brotherhood of Mutants, AIM, Red Skull, and so many others. The world's changed."

Luke nodded again. "And in two hours, I have to leave for Sokovia."

Henry looked at him, confused. "Sokovia? Why the hell are you going there? I've never even heard of that place."

Luke leaned back, crossing his arms. "Because me and the Avengers have to take down an insane robot."

Henry snorted. "Pffft, insane robot? How bad could it be?"

Luke just sighed, shaking his head. "You have no idea."

Two Days Later – The Floating City of Sokovia

BOOM!

The sound of destruction echoed across the crumbling city. Smoke and fire filled the air as the Avengers scrambled to evacuate civilians. Vision had just severed Ultron's connection to the internet, cutting off his omnipresence.

And that made him desperate.

High above the ruins, Ultron hovered menacingly, his cold, robotic eyes scanning the battlefield. He was about to launch an attack on Thor—until a sudden fist smashed into his face like a thunderbolt.

CRASH!

Ultron flew backward, his metal body skidding through the city streets, tearing up pavement before slamming into the center of Sokovia. Windwalker shot down from the sky, landing gracefully in front of him

Ultron's red mechanical eyes locked onto him, assessing the new threat.

"Well, you're new," Ultron remarked, brushing off his armor as if nothing had happened. "Are the Avengers truly so desperate that they sent a child to fight me? How pathetic."

Windwalker grinned, rolling his shoulders. "They didn't call me in because they were desperate. They called me in because I'm the best. You just weren't much of a threat—until you pulled this stunt."

Ultron let out a cold, synthetic chuckle. "Such arrogance… This won't take long."

Before Ultron could make his next move, Windwalker charged. He struck Ultron's jaw with full force, the impact causing the ground beneath them to crack. But Ultron only took a few steps back.

Windwalker's eyes narrowed. He was tougher than expected.

Without hesitation, Luke launched another punch, this time into Ultron's ribs. Then another. And another. Each blow landed like a hurricane, battering Ultron's body. A powerful uppercut sent the android staggering slightly, followed by a spinning roundhouse kick aimed at his head.

Ultron caught Luke's leg mid-air with a single hand.

"Is that all?" Ultron taunted. "That felt like a bug crashing into me."

Before Windwalker could react, Ultron whipped him around like a ragdoll and hurled him through a nearby building. Glass shattered, concrete crumbled, and Luke's body left a deep imprint in the wall.

"Shit—!"

Before he could recover, a red-hot laser beam shot toward the debris.

Windwalker reacted on instinct. A gust of wind propelled him out of the rubble just in time—the beam hit the building, triggering a massive explosion that sent fire and smoke blasting into the sky.

Luke hovered above the flames, his eyes burning with determination.

"Big mistake," he muttered. "You shouldn't have let me go."

Windwalker unleashed hell.

A powerful gust erupted from him, whipping through the city. His hands moved in rapid succession—Wind Blasts, Wind Waves, Sky Breath. Tornado-like forces ripped through the battlefield, uprooting debris and smashing Ultron into the ground with unrelenting force.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Ultron didn't move.

Luke hovered, breathing heavily, his heart pounding. The dust settled, revealing Ultron's unharmed form.

"Oh, come on!"

Ultron launched forward at full speed, his body becoming a silver blur. Windwalker barely had time to react. He dodged, but Ultron was already on him.

A fist shot forward—Luke barely avoided it as a last-second wind draft pushed him back just enough to evade the impact. But Ultron wasn't stopping.

Another punch.

Then another.

Then another.

Windwalker ducked, weaved, and dodged as fast as he could, but Ultron was relentless. Laser beams fired in rapid succession, forcing Luke to keep moving. Well hitting him with the strongest attacks he could whenever he finds an opening but they didn't Harm him

"What the hell are you made of?!"

Sky Breath!

Luke unleashed a concentrated burst of wind from his lungs point-blank at Ultron's chest. The impact sent Ultron flying back, smashing into the ground with a thunderous explosion.

A massive dust cloud consumed the area. Luke's wind sense was obscured.

He couldn't see.

Something grabbed his leg.

And then—

SLAM!

Ultron whipped Luke into the ground like a hammer hitting a nail.

BOOOOM!

The shockwave sent debris flying in every direction. The pain shot through Luke's entire body—his ribs screamed, his limbs ached. If he didn't have a super-soldier physique, that would have killed him instantly.

Through blurred vision, he saw Ultron standing over him.

"That was better than most Avengers," Ultron admitted. "But your attacks couldn't even scratch me. And you've already been severely injured—before I could even hit you properly."

Luke forced himself up, staggering.

"Not done yet," he growled.

He threw a punch.

Ultron caught his wrist mid-swing and drove his fist into Luke's stomach.

"GAAAAAH—!"

Blood spilled from Luke's mouth.

Ultron didn't stop. One punch. Another. And another.

Windwalker barely blocked with his right arm—but the force cracked the bone. He was being overwhelmed.

"I thought you said you were the best," Ultron sneered. "If you're truly the best… then this world is doomed."

Luke roared in defiance, summoning every last ounce of strength.

With his left arm, he threw his strongest punch yet—a full-powered strike that carried every bit of his will.

Ultron caught it effortlessly.

Luke's eyes widened in horror.

Ultron's hand glowed red. A searing laser erupted from his palm—burning directly into Luke's left arm.

"AARRRGGHHHHH!"

Agony tore through Luke's body. His skin scorched, muscle burned. Ultron finally let go, and Windwalker collapsed onto the ground, his vision fading in and out.

Ultron stood over him, victorious.

"Goodbye, Luke Wilson," he said coldly. "You were entertaining… but now it's time to die."
